Blackout Roller Blinds Thermal [Natural, 120cm Wide]

This is my 4th purchase of these blinds including the larger ones.Not sure what some people were expecting from very cheap roller blinds. I was expecting absolute rubbish but the blinds are absolutely brilliant for the money.The blind material is superb, doesn't fray after cutting and performs blackout duties like a pro. I have the natural colour which is a great fit for magnolia walls.Yes, the plastic fittings are a bit weak and squeaky (a bit of vaseline or similar will cure that) but the first set of three I put up a year ago in another house survived a daily up and down with no problems. They have now been taken down transported to my new house re-sized and re-fitted and are still working without issue. Be gentle with the the cheap fittings and I don't see why they would not last years. There isn't an awful lot to go wrong with them, and replacement fittings can be found cheaply enough.Delivery was quicker than specified. One tip for the wider blinds is to check that the blind has not been bent in transit. Mine had but I managed to bend the kink out as I didn't have the time to send it back - impatient wife syndrome! No problems with the smaller ones - blinds not wives that is!Easy to cut to fit. Just need a hacksaw (not junior), tape measure, pencil, straight edge, and decent scissors.I needed blackout blinds! I needed cheap blinds! I needed blinds that didn't look cheap! These fit the bill perfectly - very pleased!

You get what you pay for - the blind ends and mechanisms are all cheap plastic. It is installed now but very rickety feeling when you use it and I have no doubt the plastics will break in the next 12 months. Additionally makes an aweful squealing/screeching sounds when you roll blind down or up. Like nails on a chalk board. Avoid like the plague unless it is for short term usage only, buy better and llook for one with metal mechanisms.
