Bought for my great nephew who is just 4 ready to help him with his sums as he starts school in Sept. He likes it and we are able to set the difficulty of each sum as he develops his ability.

Sending it back. Discs have no clicking mechanism so go all ways. They are also poorly aligned. Picture looked good but very disappointed with it. Delivery was long and erratic too. Not worth the high price

The calculator reel is intended for children of primary-school age. In my opinion the reel is difficult, or even impossible, for children to use. The individual wheels spin easily but the remaining wheels spin far to easily when adjusting the exercise. When adjusting the exercise or the answer, the little child's hands would have to hold onto the individual wheels without twisting the rest. It's just not possible in my opinion. Furthermore, a parent must sit nearby to control the particular exercises. What I do find very good is that the reel is made from wood, painted with pollutant-free paints, is beautifully coloured and the numbers are easy to read.
