Good teaching book for beginners and gives you space to try out the patterns , shows steps to go the pattern. Would recommend.

I desperately wanted to learn how to do Zentangle but didn’t know where to start. This book has been a great resource to learn this art form in a step by step process. Would highly recommend this book

Great for ideas and to get you started with Zentangle. I started doing a few drawings etc. after reading about this art form on the net. Back in the 1970's we just called this 'doodling' although that term covered all sorts of random drawings. Zentangle is a lot more focused really, although very relaxing and fun. I'm not using the workbook part as I have a small book I'm working in, but I think youngsters would love it. My 6 year old granddaughter has a go and really enjoys it, so it's art for all ages. I'd recommend this book to beginners, and if you just need some good ideas and patterns to get you started. Just take your pen for a walk over the paper - and start from there!

Perfect for learning to draw

This is a good place to start to learn Zentangle but for the money this is a very thin booklet. It does give you some patterns but to be honest you could get this off the net. Would be good if you just wanted a workbook to take away on holiday as it wouldn't take up much space.

Great introduction to the art of Zentangle. Templates to practice in, instructions for a few patterns and good info for beginners in Zentangle.I find Zentangle a great hobby and very relaxing and de-stressing. You don't need to be an artist (I am not lol) and really enjoy just losing myself and not thinking about the 'whole' and concentrating on each step (living in the moment lol). There is loads of stuff you can do with tangle's and I am enjoying experimenting with colour and tangle art.If you are looking for a hobby, something not too expensive and easy to pick up and put down (especially when you have toddlers) this might be for you. Gives you time to yourself and it's a really nice feeling to finish something and know you did it.

I have only recently become interested in Zentangle hence I purchased this and several other books by the same author, to help me get started and it certainly did not disappoint me. The text was clear and concise and the diagrams of each pattern were informative and easy to follow, allowing me adequate space to practise, before spending money on expensive tiles. It certainly showed me the way and really helped me develop my own patterns.

I'm very happy with this book. It gives you all you need to know about starting zentangle. At first I thought it would be a bit too aimed at children but it does, in fact, cater for all. Helps to get you going and then encourages to think of patterns of your own. I think it helps as an artist to do these patterns which are great practice for pen\pencil control and encouraging imaginative drawing. Everything is well explained.

I am happy with the amount of patterns in this book. It's a good resource for when you can't decide what Zentangles to draw. I take the images in the back cover and close my eyes to pick. Whatever my finger lands on is what I draw when I can't decide

Yo buscaba algo que me ayudara a garigolear pero con sentido. No soy muy buena dibujando y me fallan mucho las composiciones. Con las instrucciones que trae cada tarjeta me fue posible ir haciendo cada vez mejor ciertos diseños hasta que pude unirlos y crear mandalas personales agradables a mi vista.Las tarjetas traen en la parte posterior instrucciones a seguir sobre el orden para colocar las lineas para obtener determinado diseño. Eso era muy necesario para mi y son lo suficientemente claras y fáciles de seguir como para que yo, que no dibujo nada, pudiera conseguir los diseños mostrados al frente. Estoy muy divertida practicando los diferentes diseños.
