so happy
I have tried so many mouthguards and this by far is the best and most comfortable. TMJ is not a joke and the pain is awful. I have started to very quickly manage this using the guard. Its great that you get 2 guards and a handy carry pouch too. I would and do highly recommend this product.

but not in an over constrictive way like some mouth guards
Expensive for what it is... But an absolute godsend for me... If you've been constantly waking up with banging tension headaches then there's a chance you are a nighttime teethgrinder or clenched, this eradicate both and won't let your teeth come together, but not in an over constrictive way like some mouth guards. It's small and unobtrusive sitting on the bottom jaw. I've gone from a blinding tension headache most mornings to absolutely none since I started wearing this. 100% recommended .

Saved me £300
I was skeptical after reading the mixed reviews but with the NHS band 3 charge for a night guard being £300 I figured it wouldn't hurt to try this first. It takes some getting used to and isn't as snug of a fit as a custom guard but I like that it isn't a full coverage mouth guard as I previously had a retainer and found this super uncomfortable. All in all it does the job - it stops my teeth from grinding and helps alleviate some of the tension in my jaw and headaches. Definitely worth a try!

Pretty much just a torture device - whose idea was this?
This seemed like a great design - two bite pads connected by a discreet soft wire sounded like just what I was looking for. And, it's adjustable! Fantastic.Unfortunately, whoever at DenTek was in charge of making it adjustable is a sadist. At least, I can't think of any other reason. They have accomplished this by using a notch design - the wire itself has five different notches, which slip firmly into the corresponding five notches on the bite pad itself to adjust the length of the wire between the two pads. An effective solution. However, the designer - for some ungodly reason - has elected to place these notches on the INSIDE of the bite pad, facing the gum - as opposed to on the outside, facing the cheek. Thus, whenever you bite down on the pad, you are rewarded with five notches of bite pad poking firmly into your gum surrounding your bottom molars, regardless of how you might decide to adjust it. If you're anything like me, you'll bite down every few seconds - so at an average of one bite every 10 seconds, you can expect to be poked in the gum by these five notches around 2,880 times over an eight-hour night. On each side. The effect of this is that the gums around the bottom of my back lower molars are chafed to the point that chewing my breakfast stings. The acid in the orange juice burns. My gums bleed when I brush my teeth. My jaw is fine though, I guess. There is no possible way this product has been clinically tested, since it is immediately apparent you're getting gum-bashed the moment you put it in. All the designer at DenTek had to do was invert the adjustment mechanism so that the notches are on the outside. The fact that they didn't, leaves me to only conclude that they must be fond of torture.Seriously, DenTek. Your product is garbage. Find your masochist designer, and fire them.

Forget the rest; this is the best! And so easy.
I also read the reviews for this and other guards with dismay, as I urgently needed to counteract the pain from a new night-grinding habit, the ‘try not to; try to de-stress’ advice being useless as I don’t do it deliberately and I’m not stressed! (I have seen a dentist; it’s not anything else more serious.)Anyway, I found it very easy to fit; I just pushed the blue bits forward a little to suit my very ordinary mouth shape & size. It took hardly anything to get used to - they suggest wearing it for an hour before bedtime the first night - and I slept through without noticing it.And best of all… no jaw pain today!!! So it works!!!

First time user of guards, so not qualified to ...
First time user of guards, so not qualified to make a comparison. I can say that after wearing for an hour to get used to the flimsy piece of plastic (as the instructions state) I still get the occasional gag sensation which is very uncomfortable, not sure if i will have the confidence to wear to bed. I must point out that for £33 you do get very little indeed, if you were out shopping and saw this item on sale for a fiver you would probably give it a go if you felt flush. It is a lot of money to 'waste' on a maybe.

Excellent. Designed for its purpose.
In my opinion a great product. Two in the box so good value too. I found it to be easy to adjust and comfortable to use. It seems to me to be designed for its purpose rather than a rehash/repurposed sports guard which type I found far less comfortable to wear and caused an unpleasant buildup of saliva. This type requires no heating to fit, is probably as unobtrusive as possible and easy to get on with. I would have no hesitation in recommending these to any sufferer of bruxism.
