I took a chance on this item, because it was a fraction of the cost of similar FIR stone heating mats. 🤔 Consequently, I was rather concerned about EMF exposure, but as the photos show, the mat produces almost no magnetic field (the photo was taken after about a minute of the mat being powered, with the thermostat all the way up—and the mat was getting quite warm so I’m sure it was receiving power).Many of these Chinese thermostatically-controlled mat manufacturers use electrically-shielded carbon fiber as their heating elements. I don’t know if that’s the case for this particular mat (no claim is made for it, at least at the time of this review), but whatever element is used, it is producing no appreciable field—at least in the geometrical configuration being used (closely-spaced counter-winding of wires will tend to cancel EMF).For comparison, I include a photo of a powered OMI PEMF therapy ring running at 20 Hz, which is clearly producing a 𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦 strong magnetic field. The close-up also shows an astronomical RF field that was being produced by the phone used to take the picture, which was about 6 inches from the meter and probably syncing with the cell tower at the moment the photo was taken. But it’s the magnetic field we’re interested in, and the wider photo shows that it is ~250-300 milli-Gauss. Compare that with the 2 mG emitted by the mat—which is just slightly more than the 1.5 mG in my ambient environment.The third photo shows the radiation being emitted from the plastic window of a desktop computer, laying on its side (you can’t see the window because the meter is blocking the view). For this photo I was more careful to keep the phone at least 3 feet away from the meter, making use of zoom instead.I will spare you a meter reading of an operating microwave oven. 😵 I refuse even to be in the same room with one. 🥺The bottom line is, if you’re concerned about EMF radiation, as I was, you probably don’t have anything to worry about 𝑎𝑠 𝑙𝑜𝑛𝑔 𝑎𝑠 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑑𝑜𝑛’𝑡 𝑝𝑙𝑢𝑔 𝑎𝑛𝑦 𝑛𝑜𝑖𝑠𝑦 𝑠𝑤𝑖𝑡𝑐ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑝𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑟 𝑠𝑢𝑝𝑝𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑠 𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑎𝑚𝑒 𝑝𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑟 𝑏𝑎𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑚𝑎𝑡 𝑖𝑠 𝑝𝑙𝑢𝑔𝑔𝑒𝑑 𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑜. The mat is essentially a rather large antenna, and it 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙 radiate any high-frequency power line noise. This tendency might have been mitigated by the addition of an internal line filter by the manufacturer, but they probably saw no need for it; you can add one externally if you’re concerned about any appliances or “wall warts” that might be plugged into the same circuit as the mat.The bare mat is definitely 𝑛𝑜𝑡 plush—rather like resting on cement. 🤕 Fortunately, since FIR radiation is very penetrative, you can cover it with quite a bit of padding (a basic sanitary liner is included with the mat) and make the surface more forgiving to sleep on.Overall: 👍

Love this mat. So warm and comfy. I love how the heat comes through crystals. Only drawback is the gauge shows a flat line blinking and I can’t tell if it’s reached its desired temperature or if that’s an error. Otherwise good

At 71 I just learned about the benefits of infrared and crystals. This is a unique pad. Comes in its 🧳 bag. A bit heavy but if you’re traveling at all it’s well worth it. Mat unfolds to full body. Set your temperature (you may need to experiment with this) my temp 55.Use the toggle switch to turn on. Set your temperature then select hours of heat. I select 12 as I’m up and down and prefer to lay down as time permits. Read about the benefits in amazons ad. Yes it’s truly amazing. I’ve had two back surgeries in the last 6 months and having the infrared this time I feel as if my healing is going faster and less pain than before. I have a king size bed and keep it on bed so it’s convenient. Changing bedding I just slide it to floor and it stands next to bed til bed remade. I even nap on this pad. I did my research and this is one of the 'best buys' for a large far infraread mat. I've tested it right next to the top of the line Biomat ($1,800) and they both work equally well. It does take 20 mintes to heat up. I've had mine for 4 months and, so far it's been working great. Time will tell.

I returned this mat because I thought it had pemf therapy. It does not however it is great if you’re looking for a dupe to the biomat. However I was looking for something a little more deep in my health journey. I can tell the quality of this was well thought of. No issues with returns and were very easy to order from.

I like the ability to control the heat. I do not like that the controller is bulky and gets in the way. Nor do unlike that this unit can not wrap around any body part.

This is so warm, relaxing and comfy - the therapeutic benefit is a bonus. Helps me relax so I sleep better, relaxes my aching muscles, and just feels great. Worth the investment, I highly recommend it!

I have a very small old infrared mat that looks similar, but this one has a board like backing making it very stiff. The controller wasn’t working for me either, and then the kicker was the connection point, which is close to your head, was the highest reading I’ve ever gotten (even over 1,000 - by comparison my TV is around 500). The controller was also very high over 900 and close to your body due to short cords. Not a fan and can’t recommend if the point is to use for your health.

Tuve un problema de espalda que no resolvía y me ayudó desde el primer momento que lo puse, con este cinturón y masajes estoy resolviendo el problema.Es cierto que no se apaga como las mantas eléctricas, pero puedes poner un programador de rueda y solucionado. No me parece demasiado inconveniente casi prefiero que no se apague. No lo uso para dormir ni mucho menos.

Wasn’t sure about this product when ordering as there was no reviews, I chose this as the stones are much smaller, which I felt would be more comfortable to use. Product arrived quickly well packaged and it has its own carry bag. My husband has been using it to relieve pain in his hip from the sciatic nerve. So far this has been the only thing to give relief from the intense pain, the pad takes a short time to reach the chosen temperature, once it has done this it maintains the temperature chosen.Very pleased with this item it has been used several times a day since purchased, well worth the cost, I would say definitely value for money

I find this to be very useful with aches and discomforts. The straps are very stiff but I don’t really use them I just lean on it.I have a different one, the same make different stones, which is just a flat pad and more useful.A small flat pad with the gemstones on it would be more practical.
