The plot is so well known - and the original and best version - so I won’t bore you with the details here, but my reason for buying this from Amazon is the fact its a good film and I can sit and enjoy it without needless adverts cropping up to spoil the overall production! The fact I think it’s a good film meant I paid to buy a copy, so can’t say much more than that really. Enjoy part of the golden age of cinema!

I had forgotten just how much I enjoyed Oceans 11 when I first caught it on TV decades ago. The Rat Pack at their most stylishly laid-back taking on Vegas. The Soderbergh remake has much more fun with the heist itself plus the added benefit of some sharper one liners but the original stands up well despite its age and does have Sammy Davis and Deano in full oice

a good film, but rather slow to get going. if you can ignore the songs and the ease of how they seemed to get jobs in the casinos and the even more implausible ease how they managed to gain access to the fuse boxes in the casinos to make the money safes open when the lights went off, it is an entertaining film. also, the casinos seemed to have such woeful security around the millions they had on their premises they deserved to get robbed. hardly a guard in sight!!!

This is an enjoyable the original and best in my opinion of ocean's 11,I find the originals of most remade films are usually the best,of course it helps if you're also a fan of Frank sinatra and his friends or the rat pack as the nick name they were known by then I'm sure you'll enjoy ocean's 11 even more.

This was listed as the original 1960 film - instead it played the remake with Clooney.

The classic 1960's film with the rat pack cast, it is interesting to see the 60's vegas, in the background.Certainly better than the remake .

Die Ocean's Film-Serie aus den 2000er Jahren kann wahrscheinlich nur schwer mit dem 'original' verglichen werden,stammen doch sowohl die Schauspieler als auch Film-, Trick- und Regietechnik aus einer anderen Zeit, und richtet sich der Film auch inhaltlich wahrscheinlich eher an frühere Generationen.Dennoch macht es Spaß, wenn man sich auf den Film einläßt, auch einmal das Original zu sehen - alleine die alten Las Vegas-Aufnahmen sind schon mehr als einen Blick wert, kaum eine Stadt verändert so oft und so schnell innerhalb weniger Jahre ihr Gesicht!Das Bild und der Ton der DVD sind für das Alter gut umgesetzt, und für mich ist dieser Krimi aus den 60er Jahren auf jeden Fall 4 Sterne wert!

Le ratpack, une ambiance, un style inimitable et légendaire, une époque révolue mais ça fait bien de s'y replonger de temps en temps, en été de préférence pour l'ambiance chaude de Vegas.

Je ne sais pas ce que vaut la nouvelle version de ce film (celle avec Bratt Pitt) mais celle-ci est complètement nulle. Je pense qu'à l'époque, ils ont voulu tourner 1 film avec toutes les stars du moment... Nul, histoire insipide mêlée de chansons...à oublier très vite.
