Once I got the hang of which bits go where, it went on OK. What was not evident was that, unlike other stabiliser pedals, at rest (without any weight on the saddle) the rear wheel is slightly off the ground. So, when weight is applied it settles nicely with all three wheels (back and the stabilisers). I have not adjusted the tension but it looks pretty straightforward. The instructions, like many items, are absolutely rubbish. The jumbled paper summary directs you to the web but even there you have to use a lot of lateral thinking. Nevertheless, the item is sturdy and with the spring-loaded arms, is just the ticket for a child who has some sort of balance but is learning to ride.
