This product does not work as described. The Ethernet connection works intermittently and I needed to connect via WiFi (the port is unreliable). My USB keyboard does not work well through the USB port and needed to be connected directly to a port on my computer. I believe the other ports are working but I am not confident in the functionality or reliability of this product. I would not buy it again and would recommend paying more for a brand name product from a reliable vendor. The product shipped late and arrived several weeks later than promised.

It does seem to work as expected. However, it gets REALLY hot. I don't have a tool to measure the heat. I also don't like the flat cable built into it as compared to a round cable on my other brand as it doesn't bend as easily. Maybe not bending is better for the wiring? Maybe the heat is typical with this type of adapter; the other brand I have gets as hot. My USB thumb drive is getting really hot too so I may not run them very long in the unit or just get a simple USB3 to USBC adapter. Or maybe just a USB3 hub?

Excellent quality. Looks, feels, works well as expected. Hate Apple for leaving all the customers to go buy this. This should have been included out of the box with new Mac.

I suspected that most of the extremely positive reviews in broken English are phony but decided to take a chance on this adapter. I was very pleased with how it worked as a USB 3 port, Gigabit LAN port, USB C pass thru port, and card reader. Unfortunately, it did not work reliably as an HDMI port.Eventually, I figured out that the USB C main cable didn't fit securely in my new MBP laptop but it wiggled around a little. That didn't cause a problem for the less sophisticated ports but resulted in no video/audio through the 4K HDMI connection or AV that worked for a few minutes and then cut out. It was erratic in the USC C port I normally use for PowerPoint presentations, barely worked in another, and didn't work at all in the other two.I also tried this adapter with two other new MBP laptops and didn't work reliably with them either. I decided to return it to Amazon for a refund rather than take a chance on a replacement as this seems to be a quality control issue.

This has been working great for months, no issues. Nice and solid construction. No need for drivers..

This one works well for the first a few times of usage. I used it frequently at first bought. After that, I didn't use them for a long time until recently. I found it did not work when inserted a USB mouse. And right now, the HDMI port does not work either. I am so sad about this product.

I gave it a 3 star only due to the HDMI port doesnt output to my monitor. I can see on the MacBook Pro 2017 that it identifies the monitor but the signal will not come through to the actual monitor. My monitor is working and connects to my PC tower/ work Dell laptop but not the MacBook Pro 2017.

After receiving the adapter, it is used on my Macbook immediately. Gigabit LAN port worked fantastic. USB keyboard and mouse also work like that. All operate smoothly.
