500 Portraits: 25 Years of the BP Portrait Award Hardcover – 18 Jun. 2015

Lots of great images form across the years but be aware that the book is small! Not the size you typically find art books. Many of the images are small. In many cases there are 3 images to a page. It would have had more impact at a larger size and worth paying more for. But is a well put together collection. All images are colour

The BP Portrait award is one of my favourite events of the year and this is a lovely reminder of years of pleasure. I never agree with the judges and always find personal treasures. This is a democratic anthology and covers not just the winners, but the diversity of the competition. A perfect rainy day browse.

Saw this book and did not wish to pay £25 for it in the gallery. I did view it there so knew it would be worth the money. I am not disappointed and hope to use it as a valuable reference for my students.
