The lid or top will come off if you try to lift it like it shows you. I don't care if you have snapped it in place, forget moving it unless you pick the whole thing up. The litter does get all over the lip of the lid and bottom where it joins so you will have to vacuum that. I do like the tray. I took off the door so kitty could get use to it then put the door back on. I have two litter boxes but he does use this one so that is good. I especially like the pull out tray, but DO NOT recommend this for moving it around-EVER. I would buy another but it’s now out of stock. My big kitty loves it. He sees it as fun. I did put the door back on to limit the kick out amount. He is polydactyl so he kicks out a lot. You do need to put your hand on it to pull out the tray but that’s to be expected. Even with a bag on mine, it comes out fine. Just don’t recommend trying to move it with the cat litter in it. Do not pick it up from the top. Would be helpful if they added some type of support across the top and perhaps side locks. That would allow you to easily pick it up.

It was a little difficult to put together but overall it's fantastic!

I like that it is enclosed but there’s not much room to enter and exit for my cat. He’s a standard sized cat and still has trouble getting out of the top. He does like the privacy of the box as do I lol I wish the front door of it was able to be an entrance and exit.

I still think the front entering door should allow the cat to go back out that way but you are the specialist. I am sure there is a reason

I'm so happy with this kitty box, I was concerned my cat wouldn't like it, but have been so happy with the easy removable poop drawer for easy cleaning.The door keep all the litter from popping out after my cat does his business.The one thing I must add is that the kitty door into the box only moves inward and the cat is supposed to jump out of the hole from the top of the box.I left the door off for a few days to get my cat use to the box then put the door on, he figured it out and I couldn't be happier with the results.The top of the box is corrugated so the litter pops off the cats paws then when the cat jumps off it minimizes the mess. I love it!!

Let me start by saying this is not a bad litter box at all! It's actually a very good litter box for SMALLER CATS, but for the cat we specifically purchased it for it did not work at all. It sets up fairly easily, the concept is excellent, but if your cat has any sort of weight, health, joint, is larger, or has jumping issues this is not the box for them. Larger cats cannot fit comfortably and move around to do their business in the box. There is a small ledge in the box where the top part meets the sliding drawer, urine catches there and creates a puddle along the entire edge, making it possible for the urine to seep out over the ledge and onto the floor, especially if you have cats who stand to do their business or have a high stance. The drawer also can be heavy when filled with litter (particularly clay litters or after being used) which makes it harder to pull out and scoop. There's also the separation of the top and bottom to consider. Where there is a gap, there is a chance for stuff to leak, drip, hit walls, or floors. This box is great for smaller cats, with shorter legs, who fit inside the box with movement room, and do their business in the box as opposed to standing on the edge. The door also only goes one way and they have to jump out of the hole in the roof to exit. Older cats may struggle with it or cats with low mobility. Younger cats would have an easy time in this box. It's a quality box. I really liked it. I wish it had worked for our cats!

This litter box is by far my favorite that I’ve ever owned. I love the fact that it is completely enclosed, except for the opening on top. Although there is a door that can be used on the front, our cats only use the top entrance. This has been great to ensure there is no mess outside the litter box. The pull out tray of litter makes it easy to clean, and there’s no difficulty in removing the lid in order to clean out the box. You just pull out the tray, clean the litter, and slide the tray back in. Definitely my favorite style of litter box ever. Price was great! I’ve spent three times the cost of this litter box, and still been unhappy with my purchase of others.

It does seem like they put thought into the design of this litter box, but overall, it has more flaws and is more complicated than it needs to be. First of all putting it together isn't very easy - the pieces are held together by small plastic pegs that fit into the holds of the other pieces. The drawer which is supposed to make it easy to clean the litter sits under a ledge that goes around the entire interior of the box. This ledge becomes an area that the litter gets kicked up onto. The holes in the top grate - the idea is that the movement of the cat jumping on top will knock the sand back through the holes which doesn't really happen. The scoop that comes with the litter box is too large to successfully bring poop out of the top hole and pulling the drawer out will send the litter on the ledges down onto the plastic which is just all in all more complicated . I'm going back to my other litterbox which was simple, modern looking and only had a lid with a bottom - I could lift the whole letterbox from the hole. This one, you'd have to lift it from the bottom to move it as the top comes off.
