We have moved in to a new house and and by the time we moved in the Leather jackets and Chaffer bugs had munched on a all you can eat grass roots buffet, we couldn't believe our eyes, the lawn looked like a ploughed field, so got some Nematodes and after some time I put this seed on and after a week we could see the shoots, now it's looking like a lawn again, I have just received my second pack to do the next part of the lawn, because it had to be leveled off, we are so pleased with the quality of the seed we will definitely be buying in the future for maintenance. Highly recommended.

Bought this seed for a large patch of ground underneath a pine tree (20 square metres). I wondered if anything would grow in this area and contemplated fake grass. To my amazement the whole area was covered in a green haze after 8 days!!!! Absolutely superb seed!

Green side up....no issues...grows well ....will buy again next spring....

Terrible packaging, luckily I had bag resting on my kitchen worktop otherwise seeds would have been everywhere, they don’t look healthy only time will tell.

The best seed i have ever used in 30 yrs of tring to get this sheaded part laid to lawn. Worth every penny. Just seed no other rubbish compound

I've used this seed on a couple of occasions and found it to be excellent. The most challenging area I've used it in has been beneath a very large spreading cherry tree which cuts out sunlight for the vast majority of the day, and annoyingly is right in front of my door. Prior to using this seed, the "lawn" was always more of a dust patch, and I'd pretty much given up hope of looking out onto grass.I sowed last March, using two to three times the recommended seed density, given the local bird activity. I kept the area well watered, and a couple of weeks later was rewarded with a mass of green shoots. This year the area is a normal looking, healthy, green lawn - and I'm delighted. The resulting lawn seems tough and hard wearing, and I like the fact that the seed has a good mix of species to add resilience.As a tip, when sowing grass under trees, it's always good to feed your lawn on a regular basis - the tree will take a lot of nutrients so the grass will always need a top-up to keep it in tip top form. Also, don't allow the ground to dry out from the time you sow to two months after you see shoots - keep it watered and moist at all times.

Second time buying this and it hasn't worked this time it's been down a few weeks and still nothing need to try another brand next time

Fast acting. Seeded in October this year after scarifying and raking soil and it germinated within 2 weeks without any fertiliser or soil over the seeds. It did rain a lot in the initial week so that helped. They seem to germinate very easily. I hope they last on my part full sun and part shaded lawn. Never buying major brands again as they are very hit and miss. Bets time to sow is probably early spring and autumn with lots of water and temperatures between 12 and 18 during the day
