Interesting to Michigan resident
Interesting true crime that occurred in an area that I have some familiarity with at a time that I remember. Well written.

Wonderful read
If you are a fan of true crime I highly recommend this book. I took the scenic drive past good hart some months ago and even stopped in the Good Hart General Store. Imagine my surprise when I picked up this book and began to recognize all of the place names and scenic vistas described. The book is well written, each chapter covering another aspect in the case, and was especially fun to read given that I had just visited several locations in the book. The book is informative and let's the reader come up with their own versions of what happened- which I much prefer over an author who would "take a side" in terms of "who dunnit". I will definitely read other books by this author.

Pretty good, the story is really good
Pretty good, the story is really good, but I think some of the facts could have been condensed. I read about so many people who were disappointed because they said they didn't tell you who the killer was. PEOPLE, it was a true story and they can't tell you who did it, if we don't know! I had a special interest in this book, because I live not far from where this took place, and I was curious as to what the facts were. Good reading!

Compelling and Factual
This book was hard to put down- very well written with facts supported by footnotes. Ms. Link gives the reader a great 'feel' for the area, the residents, and other information that fill in the pieces. Ms. Link also presents the elements in an unbiased way and allows the reader to come to their own questions and conclusions. I'll be reading her other books!!

Worth the Money
Very interesting book delving into the lives of this family. Just when you think you have it figured out who murdered them, it makes you question yourself. I have been in Good Hart area a few times, and it's so beautiful, I can certainly see why they wanted to spend summers there.. Good read, but unfortunate and sad for the family who had so much promise

An Up North Cold Case
Outstanding true crime tale with many twists and turns. Just finished the book today and I'm three episodes into the podcast. The book was amazing! I've visited Good Hart on the way to meals at Legs Inn and the descriptions/prose perfectly captured Up North living in such a wild and beautiful place. And the human aspect Link brought to exploring the tragic crime made the story even more engaging.

Well written with Interesting detail but so horrifying what the family went through.
So sad of a story, but hard to put down with wanting to learn more. Interesting to read about since we've gone through Good Hart and stop at the general store. Never knew about the murders before.
