Black Cable BCA4007 SNC0464 Stage Box

I don't do any live stuff so I can't comment on how effective this is as a live stage box, but in a studio patch bay role (or, more accurately, an XLR extender, as there isn't any internal patching capability) this has been a godsend. I have a 32 channel digital console (StudioLive III) and trying to get round the back all the time was a real pain. I now have the stage box situated right where I can get to it and I can switch mics etc around with ease. Build quality seems really good and I haven't noticed any loss of quality. It's also so much tidier than having a bunch of long cables all over the place. Highly recommended.

I am genuinely stunned how they can sell this so cheaply. I needed some 4-way stage snakes to reduce the cable clutter on stage, for my band. I spotted this at just over £35 and thought I'd give it a try. Firstly, the box itself is all metal (no plastic ends), as is the cable gland. Secondly, the XLR panel connectors have metal housings (again, not plastic) and finally the quality of soldering, at both ends, is pretty decent. I've yet to encounter any downsides, but if I do, I'll be sure to update this review.At this price, they almost fall into the "consumables" category, along with gaffer tape and 9v batteries.
