Very happy with the lamp. Have been looking for a lightweight rechargable lamp like this, to drag around when needed. Flexible head is easy to adjust, the charge lasts for ages (I only use it in the evenings, and it lasted a few weeks). The only tiny niggles are - the light is very "surgically" white. I do not mind too much, but warmer glow would be appreciated. And the "on" button is a bit difficult to find in the dark, as it is a touch button on the front of the light. When the "neck" is turned at a funny angle, it is difficult to figure out where the front of the base with the button is...

I ordered 2 of these lamps to use on the bedside tables. They arrived very promptly, direct from China, in less than the quickest estimate of time - no more than 5 days from ordering! They look good with simple yet elegant styling and work well. The on/off switch on the front has a dual purpose. A quick tap will turn the light on or off while holding your finger on it will change the brightness up or down. On maximum they give a good reading light while on minimum they could be used as a nightlight.There is another switch on the back that turns the whole light completely on or off. They have a rechargeable battery so they don't need to be permanently plugged into the mains but I don't yet have a feel for how long the will last on a charge. They come with a USB charger on a uk plug - which could also be used to charge a phone, so extra value here.At the price and with free delivery they see like excellent value.After a week I can confirm that the battery life is satisfactory. They will last all night on the lowest light setting but will then need to be recharged. On the highest setting they will last several hours - a few days use if you are an avid night time reader! There is no indication of the state of charge. When the battery is too low they just flicker a bit then go out. Also no indication of when they are fully charged. The instruction sheet is only in chinese so no use at all. When the supplier goes to the trouble of providing a uk plug it seems strange that they can't also manage to translate the instructions into english too.I would still recommend these lights and keep the 5 stars.I have now had an email from the supplier with a copy of the manual in english attached. It says that the light will work for 5 hours on the brightest setting or 11 hours on the lowest before needing a recharge.

What a fantastic little lamp. I am already in love with it. It's light, bright (or dim) and easily positionable, I'll be ordering a few more. I'm currently using my one to illuminate my record player, not only does it make it easier to see what I'm doing in the dark, it also makes the record player look fantastic with a cool light above it.The Good:It charges via USB. I think any powered USB socket will do just fine. I charge mine from my computer, but equally one could charge this using the supplied mains powered USB port.The dimming function is easy to use and get the correct level quickly.It really is easy to bend it to the correct place and expect it to stay in place.Battery life appears to be fairly good (I've used it for several hours without it stopping).The Bad:No battery life indicator.No weight to the base, so pressing the power button sometimes moves the lamp (this could equally be a good point given it's so light).Plugging in the supplied adapter is a little tight.Not sure why there is an On/Off switch on the back given that there is a power switch on the frontAmendment (05/02/2016) When charging the lap, there is a little LED that turns on. Once it's fully charged, I believe that this LED turns off. This will go some of the way towards the problem of No battery life indicator.

In the box is the lamp, a USB charging cable and a set of instructions. The charging cable is a coaxial connector to USB, it would have been better to have had a more universal micro-B to USB. Charging is shown by a white LED next to the socket. With a full charge the lamp managed about 5 hours on full brightness and a further 3 hours dimly glowing. The touch on-off switch worked well, continually holding a finger on the touch switch controlled the dimming. The lamp looks good, the flexible neck means it can be adjusted for angle, it gives a good light and the fact that it is rechargeable makes it very useful.

This lamp is brilliant!It looks great on my nightstand and on my desk, touch sensor is very practical and the inclusion of a battery helps when I want light in remote places!I can bend the neck to point the light wherever I want and dim the light when I need to.On my nightstand, I point the light towards the wall which lights up the room without bothering my eyes.

Purchased this for my daughters bedroom. It’s been on charge all day but unfortunately does not turn on when you take it off charge. Will be returning.

Fantastic at what it does! Excellent small light that is luminous enough to have on alone to read by in bed, or to light a desk.I would go so far as to call this a staple for any student, home worker...anyone who needs that extra illumination when natural light or the main light isn’t sufficient.As it is variable output, conceivably you could even use it for backlighting.The charge is also impressive. It’s one of those electronic devices that you forget isn’t mains powered (although it does work plugged in) because it lasts so long it always surprises you when it needs charging.Better than a desk lamp of thrice it’s size or cost if not more. I seriously think Glovion is the future of lamps!
