Red Gingham 1/4 Check Polycotton Fabric - per meter by Empee

It is obviously difficult to judge a fabric's feel and quality by purchasing online, but I personally received exactly what I expected from the product description. I feel that the product is excellent value for money and has a quality cotton feel for the price of the fabric. I purchased this to cover some shelf bases to give the kitchen a more country kitchen feel and this worked perfectly. So far, it seems to wash well. As like most inexpensive cotton, it has a tendency to fray around the edges, so it's worthwhile edging the material correctly. Quick delivery.

Very thin material. Two edges appear to be the end of the roll, one has staples in it and at least an inch of uniform holes. This is the same on the opposite edge. Remaining edges have been cut very roughly and not in a straight line, basically hacked at, therefore wasting around another inch all around. Have ordered lots of material and this is by far the poorest quality. Very disappointing.

Great for covering jam/ pickles jars when gifting my homemade items finishing them off beautifully I have also made covers for my wicker baskets gives them a great vintage look fast delivery too

I really like this fabric. It is great value for money (I paid £2.30per meter and free p and p). It is slightly textured so might not be practical for every project. I’m using it to back embroidery hoops so fine for me.Highly recommended.

I brought this material to make some cushion covers. It feels and looks lovely. It washes really well and hasn’t faded.
