Does the Job Well!
This product is as advertised, dampened the sound and was easy to attach to the wall! I used t-pins that I already had instead of the adhesive that came with the foam, that’s a preference. When you purchase the foam, the seller sounds you instructions on how to properly prepare them. When you wash and dry them as the instructions say, the smell disappears and they puff up to the promised depth! These obviously aren’t studio quality foam dampening, but they perform as advertised for a decent price!

Everything was perfectly as expected
I read reviews so I knew what to expect (thanks to everyone before me who left comments). To prepare them I submerged them in a big sink and carefully made sure they were saturated with water. Next I gently got most of the water out (It's foam people. You can't wring them hard like a towel or you'll break the foam). Finally I dried in the baking sun. I also used a dryer with nothing else in the dryer. Both worked. I think the sun left some moisture in the core but that evaporated eventually. In short the packaging was fine. The product came air vac'd (compressed).Once prepared... The product was perfect. I had no bad cuts or broken ones. Preparation was key.Yes it smelled a little but I didn't care as my application was not in the open.Couldn't tell you the acoustic deadening or NRC but it worked as expected for me.Best of luck to you.

Great foam, so long as you can treat the smell.
Other reviewers are right in saying that the smell is horrible when first opened, but the product works well and if you follow the instructions on washing/airing out it should be fine. I've had these for about two months now and they are in good shape, and the chemical smell has dissipated. Ideally, if you have a garage or place to air these out, do so. Sound is absorbed pretty well by these. I'm using them in a smaller space but would recommend getting the larger pack if you're looking for better cancelling.

Not great at noise cancellation
I purchased these to be used to dampen the sound from my HVAC. Currently, my HVAC sits in a closet right next to the family room. So when I turn on the unit, it's a bit loud and I would end up having to turn up the sound. After reading all of the reviews about how great this product was, I decided to give it a shot. It comes compressed so when you open it, make sure you either let it decompress or follow the instructions and dampen it and let it dry out so that it comes back to life. I actually ended up just laying them out for about 2 weeks to uncompress. I installed them in different orientation with each piece as instructed. The adhesive did a great job at sticking to the door, but I can't tell if it dampened the sound at all. I don't have a decibel meter to test, but I can't tell if it dampened the sound. Maybe it might be dampened a little bit.

Worked Great
Several complaints that the foam squares did not expand correctly. I let them air out a few days before putting them into a utility tub for 4-5 minutes. Then I put them in a dryer for 15 minutes per the instructions. They all expanded fully and glued easily to the wood panels I was using. My only complaint was the stick tabs they supplied for securing the foam sections. They were extremely hard to separate and the spray glue worked much better. I just ordered 2 additional sets of the foam panels to complete my project

Terrible product
This is possibly the worst purchase we have ever made from amazon. The panels had to be soaked in water then dried in the drier. They smelled. The stickers to apply them to the ceiling didn’t work and they kept falling onto the floor. We just throw them out now when they fall on the floor. We had a sever leak which ruined our ceiling and wanted to block noise from the kitchen Contractor is coming in two days to put up new ceiling so too late to return. Don’t buy. Crap product.

good.
Tried to sound proof my air compressor by putting it in a small cabinet and surrounding it with these panels and it worked a little bit that not as much as I don't liked.

Noise suppression
These panels go up nicely after they have been wet to get wrinkles out. They cut down on noise reverberation.

Read the instructions, they works great
I was originally shocked to see how compact the foam came, all 12 pieces were about as thick as a pack of printer paper. But After soaking and squeezing them in the bathtub, they expand like a sponge extremely rapidly. One foam tile ends up about as thick as the entire pack started as in the packaging. I didn't even use the dryer I just let them sit out overnight against a wall. They worked just as expected and deaden the sound well. The sticky's they come with are pretty cheap and hard to get off the sheet they come on, but those are fairly cheap to purchase elsewhere. I just used a hot glue gun.

Sound dampening
Easy to install and did exactly what they were intended to do.

Have to wash to expand the foam
manual mentioned it can be left open for 24 hrs for the foam to self inflate. But that does not work. a simple wash and dry inflates the foam right away.Overall, I placed my 12 foam in a small room but did not notice huge difference for sound echoing. okay product with affordable price

Better quality
I ordered some of these before. They were thinner and did not include stickers. These ones are thicker and work much better.
