It's been a long time since I'd done a cross stitch but this kit really reignited my love of it. The design is beautiful and while it's challenging (you do have to be paying close attention to the design guide), you get a real sense of achievement when you see you're on the right track. Even when I was a child doing these, I've only done counted designs (not the ones where it is printed onto the canvas) so I think that a beginner could do these, just bear in mind it does take time and patience (it took me about 4 months to complete doing a little each day). The size and quality of the aida fabric was perfect and I had more than enough thread (even with me making the occasional mistake and needing to undo/redo some stitches) so I'm not sure how other people seem to have struggled. I'd definitely recommend!

Just completed this. However, the way the chart is printed over 9 separate sections is a bit of a nuisance.. For example, pages 1,2 and 3 were fine, but starting 4 was annoying as there was nothing to help with alignment.. Ended up taking pictures on my phone and zooming in for reference. Same with consecutive pages.. However, it looks lovely. Colours are amazing. Lots of lovely comments about it

How come this cross stitch pattern is different colours to the thread I’ve done a lot of cross stitch in my time and they all pretty much match

I haven’t actually started this yet, but am not disappointed by what arrived. I’m a great fan of the cross stitch kits and have completed quite a few in the past and this one looks like good value for money. Fabric appears a little stiff, but not sticky like other comments have suggested & I’m sure it will soften with use.

I chose the unprinted fabric. Had to wash and iron it before it I could use it or place it in a ring (horrible soapy like gunge washed out- I’m assuming it’s something used to glue the pattern on for printed/guided fabric option.The way the pattern is printed on the paper (coloured blocks) is very unhelpful. I can’t use a highlighter or a soft felt tip on it. I’m using a Sharpie & can no longer tell which colour thread I’ve filled in on the paper pattern. This isn’t ‘diamond art’ - manufacturer needs to do either a fully colour printed fabric AND pattern, or an unprinted fabric and a plain pattern
