Energy Systems and Sustainability: Power for a Sustainable Future

A the time of writting I have worked through about 25% of this book and had a brief look at the rest. Whilst this is a serious book covering a very wide range of issues it does so well. The text is reasonably easy to comprehend, explanations of sometimes complex concepts are good and do not expect you to have any knowlege of maths or science, it is well illustrated, up to date and generally enjoyable to read - but I pace myself by taking regular breaks, reading for up to an hour and taking several days to complete a chapter.The book is associated with the Open Univertity Course T213 (a second year undrgraduate module) but seems equally suitable for courses run by other Universities or as a reference text for the independent reader (like me) and professionals. I certainly feel that I have learnt from the books factual informaton and value the way issues have been thoughfully discussed and presented.

Only approx 130 pages in (out of 650) so far but it is very informative and well written. bought this to get ahead before starting T213 energy and sustainability with the Open University in october 2012. Just wish there was a kindle version!
