I wish the door handle hole wasn't so long/large. Because when we open the door it immediately slips off and falls to the floor pretty much every time. But as far as working out for what it is supposed to do, it works great. We do not actually have a cat, but have 3 dogs, including a brand new puppy. We need to keep them out of some of the rooms of the house, but living in Arizona, we need the AC to circulate properly throughout the home. In fact a few of the rooms that would have the doors fully closed are the coldest in the house otherwise. With these neat door holders, the colder air can get out of those rooms and down the hallway.Our door handles for all our doors are a lever type door knob and not a circular door knob. I would think maybe this might not fall to the floor on the circlular door knob design, but I might be wrong.Being able to change how wide the door is able to open is very important, we were able to decide based upon how skinny our puppy is.

If you have dogs and cats and you need to keep the dogs out of the litter boxes, this is the way to go. I keep the litter boxes in the basement. The cats need to be able to go down but the dogs need to stay up. I wish I would have found this sooner.

This is probably one of the best purchases that I have made. It allows my cats freedom into and out of my bedroom and keeps the dogs out which also gives the cats their own space. I would recommend this to everyone who has cats and dogs.

Our two cats are always opening the door just as I get it pushed to. Have to leave it cracked for them but don’t want to hear the noise from other rooms. This is the perfect answer!!!! Easy to open!

These work great! Perfect for kitty spaces you don’t want your dog getting into. Wish the would attach to the door handle even when not in use. I have handles not knobs and the slide off if you don’t hold tight when opening the door.

We have a terrier who is relentless about the cat poop. The litter box is in the closet and the dog absolutely won't leave it alone. These work so well for what I need.

Out of all the random drunken Amazon purchases I've made, this is one of the most useful. Keeps the dog out, lets the cat pass through, holds a door ajar. Although, if you have a determined animal, (or child) this won't work because it's pretty easy to jiggle it free.
