Death on the Nile: B1 (Collins Agatha Christie ELT Readers)

I’ve undertaken to teach some English to a guy who urgently needs to learn some. How am I getting on? Honestly, we’re struggling, but I have high hopes this will help, with its interesting content, simple but not childish English and compendious vocabulary at the back.

It’s very nice to practice reading

I returned this as it was the wrong version! Silly me

The characters are interesting; there are various opportunities to have a guess(invariably incorrect);it hangs together; the setting is exotic and allows the action to mainly take place in a small space;it was written when Christie - then in her forties - was still at her peak. There's nothing to dislike and everything to relish - like a rich Christmas pudding - which leaves the reader fully satisfied following the denouement. A very pleasing read.

La historia que nos cuenta Agatha Christie es muy mala, no tiene ningún interés o sentido la trama por lo que su lectura se hace pesada, pero al margen de eso, el libro en si (si tu objetivo es aprender ingles y no divertirte con una historia) esta muy bien y es una buena herramienta para aprender ingles.

Gutes Buch zum Englisch lernen. Agatha Christie ist eine tolle Autorin!
