Excellent product. Worth the money for the feel alone.
Beautifully packaged. Excellent instructions, very easy to follow. As a first time capo user I was reluctant to use on my £900 Guild guitar so tried on my Norman B12. I needn't have worried about it damaging the neck of fretboard. A very secure yet excellently designed capo that holds firmly across the strings and does not move. No damage at all or marks to neck etc. excellent value for money. The coffee colour is muted and suits the instrument. It is smooth to the touch, just enough spring tension, a really well thought out product. If you are looking to play in other keys then go for this capo. The free downloads available from Ukuology are clear and give details of strumming etc. I hope that the team produce more on using the capo with songs and also further develop the strumming charts which I find excellent. Done linking to particular styles and songs would be of benefit to many of us mad ukers.

Excellent ukulele capo
I am delighted with this ukulele capo from Ukulology. It is a perfect size for the uke, or similar instruments, not a guitar capo sold as a uke one. It has a good strong spring which ensures a firm contact with the strings, eliminating any buzzing or rattling, the jaws are lined with a firm rubberised material which will prevent scratching or other marks on the fingerboard or neck, and the whole thing is finished in a pleasant, neutral metallic coating, coloured a sort of purple gunmetal shade. The capo has a very solid, substantial feel to it, giving the assurance of being made to last; entirely unlike a lot of the cheap units available elsewhere. In short - a great, solid, quality instrument at an extremely good price.

The Best of Quality
When this arrived I wanted to write a review even before I tried it.Yes, it is that nice. When you take it out of the packet you canfeel the quality. At the same time the quality of the finish just popsthe fettling is excellent, finished to precision. it is also stylish, oddas that may sound after all it is Only a capo. The ergonomics are justperfect, it just fits nicely in your hand and I think it will feel as if it weremade to fit no matter your hand size. The mechanics of it are simpleyet effective It grips well with a non marking grey silicone rubber. It issolid, no chance of any buzzI'm probably so impressed as I had only seen one "similar" before andit was very bad

Get more bang for your money with this one
I am new to ukulele but I do have more experience of other stringed instruments so I know what capo is used for. That's why I decided to get a capo for my ukulele already at the beginning so I would be able to learn to use it with ukulele in an effective manner. After doing exhaustive research I ended up with the Ukulology one as it specifically meant for ukulele (a lot of originally banjo capos are sold as ukulele capos) and uses the spring mechanism to operate, which is easy and fast. I am very pleased with this particular capo. The size is just right for my soprano ukulele and the overall quality is solid. The tension is just right that it keeps in place but there's no danger of damaging the neck. The sound seems to be clear with this capo and I can't really find any fault with it at all. I've had for about a month now. What's more the Ukulology company also provides a few free downloadable pdf leaflets that give some instructions / cheat sheets how to get started with the ukulele, like chord charts and song tabs. They also provide backing track for those songs. That's a really nice bonus.

Be Prepared For Re-tuning
I have been using the same Shubb capo on my various guitars for about 20 years and it still works perfectly. However it is too big to use on my latest obsession, the ukulele!I looked at a few makes and eventually decided on this Ukulology model based on the attractive price and the many five star reviews. It is not a bad capo by any means. It appears to be well made and is nice and light. The main problem with it is that extensive re-tuning is required every time you use it. This is not necessary with the Shubb on guitar and I would imagine the same would be true if the relevant Shubb uke capo was used. However it has to be born in mind that the Shubb is twice the price of the Ukulology. You pays your money and you takes your choice but remember the old adage: "buy cheap buy twice".

Excellent piece of kit
I purchased this for use with a group of ukulele players every couple of weeks. I'm fairly new to the uke and so didn't want to spend a lot of money on an item I might not use that often, and this one from Ukulology looked to be at the right mix of quality and low cost. It's small enough to fit in the pocket of my gig bag, is perfectly sized for my instrument and is robust, strong and does what a capo needs to do. It feels very high quality, well worth the money.Highly recommended.

Looks professional, works well, no buzz and no detune
Purchased this for my daughter and another different brand at the same time for me. Having compared them, this is by far the better product. Holds strings firmly with no buzzing, but unlike some others does not take the ukulele out of tune. Very nicely made and finished, definitely professional and came with some useful links. i tried to swap with my daughter but she would have none of it so we now share this one...will have to order another soon.
