Tv very easy to install and set up we did purchase a sound bar which improved the sound quality, I would recommend to anyone, so far so good!

This tv was fairly easy to mount under a kitchen cupboard. I like that it pulls down and folds away when not in use, both keeping it dust free and from being in the way. The angling / swivel is also neat.The power lead is clumsy, but you can tidy it away with cable tacks.It’s also going to be clumsy for broadcast tv, whether Terrestrial, Satellite or Cable.We have DVB-S (Freesat channels), but cabling to our kitchen was a non starter, so we’re sticking to apps, streaming and casting.Android TV is easy to setup, you’ll be up and running quickly and can easily add common apps like Netflix, Prime, Spotify and YouTube, which update from the Play Store. You’ll need a Google Account.Wi-FI connection seems pretty solid. Again you could use Ethernet, but that’d be another clumsy cable going to your kitchen.Screen is 15.6”, and the quality and colours are really sharp at 1080p on such a small form factor.Sound isn’t stunning unless you are right in front of it, common with many smaller devices.I’m sure you can link a Bluetooth speaker, but we’ve gone wired to an external speaker. You can do this from either the Phono L+R ports, or from the 3.5mm headphone jack socket.Chromecast is a brilliant technology, and to have it built in is amazing.We’re using it for tv and music videos whilst cooking, and occasionally watching a cooking walkthrough on YouTube whilst baking with the kids.Remote is ok. Push buttons on unit are ok too.Not tried the voice control. If that’s your thing, I’m sure it’s great, the same as on any other Android TV.It is white, so might pick up food stains. Think carefully about where to mount it.

If this was priced around the £300-£400 mark and had less tinny sound quality it would be getting five stars.We plugged it directly into a power source and it was easy to connect to the house WiFi. It took time to connect it to my phone, as I have an iPhone I did need to download the google tv app.I would recommend you do this as you can then navigate the tv in your phone which is a lot easier and quicker to use than the remote.The picture quality is amazing! Probably the best thing about it.It already has certain apps downloaded (Netflix, YouTube, Prime, Disney+) but it’s very easy to download others onto it as well.Once you’ve paired the tv with your phone you can play whatever you want from the phone and it doesn’t affect the picture quality.When we were setting it up, you are asked to input your country to determine the timezone for the clock display and the UK/England was not an option but London is.It comes with all the pieces you need to attach the tv to the underside of your cabinet. The device is heavier than we expected so I would make sure your cabinet is securely on your wall as this will weigh it down.I do think this would have looked nicer in a different finish/colour and it would look more price reflective. It is easy enough to wipe down though.Overall though, we are very happy with it and have used it daily since getting it and it’s great that you can put the screen away if you don’t want it out.
