Land Girls - Complete Collection (2009)

A really wonderful portrayal of world war 2 England, with prisoners of war, the land girls, black marketeering, this series follows the land girls of world war 2 and their lives as they work the land and care for livestock in the countryside, such a shame they couldn't make more, wish this series would get a reboot! Highly recommend for fans of nostalgia.

Not quite finished yet, one more DVD to go. Love it so far . Good value .

A great video. Cover a little confusing in a foreign language, but video plays in English, so no problem at all. Good delivery service.

This is an extremely well produced series of the Land Girls who did a vitally important job in the war effort. The characters are very varied and appealing and the story line is brilliant as one minute you'll be laughing and the next you'll be crying. Do buy it as it'll give you a lot of enjoyment!

it has subtitles only in Dutch language , the girls and most locals speak with accents- not Oxford English - and are sometimes a wee bit hard to understand for a foreigner like me. The Dutch subtitles help a little if somebody knows German ( probably even better would be Dutch)The plot is interesting, it took me one day to finish series 1 and another day for series 2 and 3.This version costs approx 15 GBP , the version with English subtitles approx 35 GBP.

Wonderful series. Well worth the money. Beautiful characterisation and wonderful acting
