Plug and play
I connected an Intel x520 to a cheap 10GB switch using these wires. I had to issue an interface up command but that may be a quirk of Unix. It doesn't auto detect the connection like Ethernet cables do.Came up and has fully link speed.

Used with 10G SFP+ PCIe card on a Proxmox VE. All runs cool vs other SFP+ copper adapters I have used.

Perfect to connect two SFP+ devices
I have been upgrading my network to 10GB so I order a 10GB SFP+ card for my Synology enterprise NAS. Using this SFP+ cable I attached it to the NAS and to my Microtik 10Gb switch. Bam, 10Gb speeds from a 6 year old NAS. (It might be 6 years old but it has a Xeon 2.7Ghz processor, 32 GB ram and 12 10TB SAS drives. Well worth upgrading I'd say. Previously the NAS had 4 1Gb ethernet connection.
