A must-have for floors and easy appliance cleaning
This is a Godsend. I mainly bought it for my floors, as I just can't stand the hassle of filling a bucket with water, emptying it, then drying and storing it away. With this device, it takes just a minute to set up, and you're good to go without dragging any extra equipment into the rooms. It does a much better job than any mop—I was shocked by how filthy my floors actually were. One downside is that the dual buff requires separate USB charging and doesn’t work directly from power, which is a bit annoying. However, I've gotten used to charging it every time before storing it away. While it's a bit heavy and bulky as a handheld steamer, it’s incredibly useful for cleaning kitchen appliances like the grill, air fryer, and, most importantly, the oven. It’s not a magic solution—it still takes time to scrub and remove grease from the oven—but at least you're not inhaling toxic chemicals for hours. It’s also incredibly useful for sanitising everything in the bathroom—mirrors, taps, tiles, you name it.All in all, this has been my best buy of 2024.

Very versatile and extremely effective
This steam cleaner is the last essential tool in my house maintenance equipment. Originally bought to maintain floors, I now steam curtains and clothes to protect against moths, dust the skirting boards, banister and all the other less frequently cleaned areas and corners, and effortlessly clean the windows too.Material and build quality:————————————The overall build quality and design is very good indeed. I was initially concerned with the quality of the plastic. It is not ABS but a cheaper plastic. The entire machine is made of it where I would have liked a metal tubing handle section at least. In use, the machine is excellent although I do not like using it as a steam wand due to the short 30” flexi attachment making it too bulky and uncomfortable for cleaning the entire bathroom.Where I find issues arise with plastics in domestic tools is where objects are continually knocked against hard surfaces or where the tool falls over or is dropped onto a hard surface.Design wise, I really like it’s ability to fold in half for easy storage. I also appreciate the simple removal of the water tank for practical refilling whether it is used in the hand held mode or floor mop mode. Not being heavy, it is also very easy to steam carpets. The H20 can be left free-standing’ when not used but it is not stable and easily knocked over. It is for this reason that I ensure I ALWAYS lean it against a wall. I also take a pro-active approach to prevent damage when I’m using it. It isn’t cheap and there are far better dedicated and more robust floor streamers out there but they are not as versatile. I already have a Henry vacuum cleaner + turbo tools, large carpet cleaner, and two battery G-Techs. Storing tools conveniently means I need to think of size and space. If I can’t get to it, I am less likely to use it. The H20 HD fold in half and is easy to store as are the attachments and it is for this reason I bought it.The cloth mop heads are excellent quality and I will be buying more original spares. I did originally have the older version of this mop. I did not look after it and bought cheap mop heads. It constantly blocked, was not well designed, the 3rd party mop heads fell apart quickly and it finally stopped working. The H20 HD filters are excellent and last 3 months according to Thane. I will be sticking to this cadence. At current prices, this works out at £2.50 per month which, if used almost daily, I feel is very reasonable and ensures the machine will not need de-scaling or risk blocking up altogether. I will be regularly running white vinegar or citric acid through it tooIn Use - 1st weekend!____________________I had not planned to do any housework on the first weekend following the delivery but ended up deep cleaning carpets and organising my chaotic attic too.I work from home and so continually maintain the house throughout the week.I knew that if I steamed all floors, I’d keep pet smells down. I also thought I would save on the whole floor mop prep wash and dry time. What I didn’t know was just how much I’d use this tool.Firstly, the stone floors are now steam cleaned daily as it is that easy and convenientFor the carpets, which I will now steam weekly, it occurred to me that I could also steam them as a preparation to using the carpet cleaner. I was shocked at how much more dirt was then washed out of them and in a far quicker amount of time I usually have to do two full passes with the carpet cleaner - a big machine which only comes out about twice a year and usually takes me the entire weekend to complete the house and stairs.I iron as little as possible but now I can steam only the essential items when needed. The wife still washes and irons anything merely glanced at, her choice!Whilst in the attic, where I have my, now redundant, officewear and seasonal wardrobe, I saw a carpet moth. I know that steam kills moths, larvae and eggs so I began to steam the immediate area. This lead to me to deciding to steam the floor…which was heavily cluttered and so I spent the next 4 hours reorganising the entire attic, hanging all clothing on the four rails I bought 2 years ago for the job, and then, to finish, I decided to steam each item of clothing…one by one!Next unplanned job was the windows. You do need to polish windows/mirrors after washing but that was fine. However, as I was cleaning them, I noticed how dusty the shutters were. This lead to them being cleaned too - didn’t even have to change the attachment. So, House is now cleaner and I am happy with my purchase.I hope this review and my initial experience helps someone to make a decision.I am very impressed with this tool and hope it will last a long time. I was not prepared to clean my whole house to to bottom almost within the first weekend of its arrival but now have a base line. Be prepared to get carried away cleaning!

H20 HD steam mop!
This steam mop came well packaged with everything I required inside the box for cleaning. The steam mop was pretty easy to assemble, however you need to screw on the actual mop head to the unit to use mop itself for any floor use, so this could be tricky for anyone with arthritis screwing this head on and off to be able to do certain cleaning tasks. Because you have to keep taking it off to use this as a hand held then screw it back on to do the floor. The water tank comes off easily for you to fill and the handle will fold down for easy storage. The pads have velcro on them and stick well to the base head and don't come off when in use. The mop itself has three heat settings and heats up within seconds. However please read the instructions and make sure you use the correct heat settings for carpets especially cushion flooring - lino because the unit gets extremely hot and may shrink or melt your flooring. The mob however used correctly works extremely well and is sturdy, versatile plus easy to manover and get into corners it's also light weight so a big bonus and the cord is a good length and the steam production is excellent. This mop did not leave pools of water over the floor but with all steam mops you have to wait for five minutes after you have finished, for the floor surface to fully dry off and the steam in the room to disappear. Plus a steam mop doesn't need chemicals so is safe for pets and children. The only things I found a disadvantage and could be costly is you have to change and buy filters for lime scale build up after so many uses, with this model and you most definitely will need extra pads and filters in time, you also will have to purchase these from the main product developer or possibly where you purchased the mop from as you can't get cheaper duplicate filters and identical pads and these sets range from £19.99 to £29.99. So if you use the mop very often it may not be that cost effective and taking on and off the head could be annoying. With the older model -H2O X5 steam mop you don't need filters and can buy duplicate pads from various places online. So this older unit will save you money if you obviously keep up with maintenance. This H20 HD model is totally different so if you think it's similar to the H20 x5 it's actually not. However it seems pretty good so far and has functioned well. But I actually think I prefer the older model due to the cost of replacing the filters and been unable to get cheaper microfibre pads and screwing on and off the main mop head as it's annoying. However this is the only reason I have given this H20 HD 4 stars. I can't say yet if it's value for money because i have not used it that long and have already purched a new filter and microfiber mop pads because I only got one mop head in the pack and one filter with the pack I chose to purchase. Plus my old H20 x5 lasted over four years. I hope this review helps

Good product
Easy to use. Used on upholstery and carpet and dried quickly with good results. Flex was quite long. Would recommend. Pity no spare microfibre cloths .
