Purchased to sit on when caring for my elderly mother (feeding, foot care, etc). I loved this chair at first; but after about a year of use, the seat doesn't stay in position anymore. I adjust to the highest position and slowly it begins its descent down. I have not gained weight and no one else uses it. Disappointing considering how much I paid for it.

Update Feb 2022: Perch stool is still going strong. No issues with gas cylinder. I spend 2-3 hours/day at my desk.***I needed a sturdy, compact seat without wheels for my closet-turned-into-office measuring a mere 40 in x 41 in. My closet office is built up from the main floor, so I could not risk rolling backwards off the step in a wheeled stool. I also require a backless seat due to size restrictions; even a compact task chair hits the wall when I stand up. The Perch stool is exactly what I wanted. It’s well padded, with an ample seat (I’m plus size), convenient ring for adjusting height (vs. lever), stable feet, smooth rotating action (my kids tested it out, but this is Mom’s office seat!). Perfect choice for what I needed. Highly recommended. I will report on hydraulic durability after a few months of use.

Works well and is comfortable.

This is one of those purchases where you're able to walk away and say, "I picked the best one!" My husband records from a home studio, so it was important that I find a sturdy chair, one that swivels, with height adjustments, that wouldn't roll out from under him. (Our chair had gliders, not rollers.) This chair arrived from Perch quickly and in perfect condition. It took about 15 minutes to put it together--easy as can be. Great buy!

I got this stool for work in the Operating room. I needed a stool that wouldn’t roll on me when assisting with robotic surgery. It nice it is light and easy to move with your foot when not sitting on it and it stays in place once sitting on it. It is easy to clean if needed. Easy to assemble. Came when expected. Love it, it is saving my back.

This stool is perfect! Ordered the 18-23" black vinyl one. I searched and searched for a good and sturdy stool that had a cushion, sturdy base, and adjustable height that could accommodate both me (5'4) and my husband (6') while working on our pottery wheel. It took a little bit to arrive but the small colorado based company communicated well and was available for any questions or concerns through a personal email they send you. Would definitely order again!
