It is an attractive timeless design and they are comfortable enough to wear all day, and I walk over 10K steps daily. Clarks tend to fit a bit narrow so if you have wide feet I would recommend ordering the wide if available. Very happy with this purchase and would definitively recommend these boots.

I love these, but the heel is higher than it looks. They are also VERY heavy! I’m 5’6” and 145 lbs, and in good shape. In the parking garage at work, I fell going down the stairs!! My feet were dragging behind me, scraping my legs and boots down 8 steps. I was falling chest first. The only way I slowed myself down was to jam my hand and thumb inside one of the brackets that hold the railing. I could not pick up my feet - and I have strong legs! I use the same stairs everyday and have never had any problem. But this day was horrible. I don’t think I’ll wear them ever again!

The boots are gorgeous and well constructed. I have 4 stars instead of 5 because the elastic gusset at the ankle is a little looser than I would have liked. Truthfully, I would have preferred a zipped up boot, but chose these because of the style, colour and the fact I could get it in wide width. I usually wear a 10W. I elected for 11W and they fit perfectly as Clarke’s are usually a smaller fit for me than Rockports. As for the colour - it’s unusual. It’s not a brown yet not a grey. It’s more grey than brown. Bottom line - it’s a versatile colour that can play neutral to anything you want to pair it with. For the best look, plan to wear a straight cut pant/jeans over the boot rather than leggings with it. The elastic is not a great look on me with leggings although not terrible. The heel height is perfect. High enough that you feel more dressy than a low heel, yet stable and not so high that my feet hurt. I’m very excited about these boots.

Quality is great as always with Clarks. Comfort and style are also great. They became my favorite boot immediately. I purchased them to replace a much-loved pair of black Clarks that lasted me for several years. I often find I need to get a half size up from other brands when I buy Clarks, as they run a bit smaller than most brands.
