Sticky Rice Steamer Cooking Bamboo Basket for Insert in Rice Cooker (Basket Diameter 6.5").

After a trip to Thailand, me and the wife got hooked on mango sticky rice. So when we got back we looked at ways of recreating the dish at home. I originally purchased a proper Thai bamboo steamer with the large aluminium pot for the water and it was just too large and cumbersome to have in the flat.We already had a rice steamer multi cooker thing and I stumbled across this bamboo steamer which fits inside it to make sticky rice.It's brilliant! Ideal size for approx 8 portions of sticky rice, possibly more, and once lined with some muslin, you can lift the rice out easily once it's done. It takes approx 30mins to cook once the rice has been soaked for a few hours.Very happy with my purchase and would recommend to anyone who wants to make sticky rice in a rice steamer.

We use this as a stand-alone dreamer over a pan, rather than in a rice cooker. Works just fine that way and the rice is delicious.
