Aqua Fun Kapielowy pingwin

My daughter received this as a gift for her 1st birthday and really liked it. The tune is annoyingly catchy but I could live with that. I was very happy with this initially and even bought one as a present for a friends' little girl, however not long after my daughter's birthday her toy became a little temperamental. It would stop working and then randomly start singing again just as we were putting our daughter to bed, then it stopped working altogether. We assumed this was just due to the batteries running down, however new batteries were purchased and it still didn't work. Not sure the design is good enough for it to withstand much going under water?? Which, if this is the case, is a little ridiculous for a bath toy! Perhaps we just got a "dud" one though. Also the one I bought through Amazon for my friends' daughter came with batteries as advertised, however I'd assumed it would come with batteries that actually worked! Apparently this was a little too much to ask.

I bought this toy for my little niece. She absolutely loves to be in the water and loves taking baths, so that was a good toy to get. It is much fun for her as it swims and gurgles and sings in the water.It was great fun for her and she wanted to play with it again and again and never got bored of it.The only problem is, that if you're an adult unfortunately once you've heard the song more than twice it will drive you absolutely crazy!But great fun for kids. It does however not have any educational value, it's just purely for fun.

Tomy Splashy the Penguin Bath Toy arrived on time. Unfortunately, the batteries that were included did not work. However, fortunately, I had some replacement batteries of the same type and was therefore able to use these instead. This was shear luck. The item was a present for a young child. Apart from this, the toy appeared to work well after the batteries were replaced and the child was happy.

I was expecting more from this. My little 2 year old boy loves singing row row row your boat so I bought this for him. First thing I tried was the button on its head to hear the tune but nothing happened as the batteries turned out to be flat, so I had to go out my way last minute to buy some batteries as I had already shown it to my boy! The song is actually quite amusing once it works and it looks like a nice toy for babies so I'll give it two stars, but the paddling feature is really unpowered, it barely moves in the water. My son didn't look impressed at all and had more fun playing with a flannel.

Fantastic! when you tilt it upside down in the water it sounds like the penguin is singing underwater and when on his back, it is nice and clear. 4 stars as it could be louder. To make him start singing, you just push his hair. You can wind his arms and then he flaps in the water. We have left it submerged in water and it still works fine a couple months down the line!

This is simply a great little bath toy. Laying the penguin on his back makes him sing 'row row row your boat', and on his stomach it comes out as though he's underwater (obviously for effect in the bath) and the wind up flippers are great fun.I will just mention that in other reviews a complaint has been that the song is quieter when in the water, which of course it is. Please don't see this as a complaint though, as the only way it could be the same volume in the water as out of it is if the product entirely defied the laws of physics (sounds moves at a different speed in water, therefore it's quieter).Overall a great toy, very cute and lots of fun - totally worth the money.

My little girl loves this penguin...and so do I! He does a fantastic row row row your boat when swimming on his back, then gurgles it when on his front in the water! The only real downside is that he is just a bit too quiet and especially if you wind up his flippers too his singing gets drowned out!Still, a worthwhile purchase.

A very cute device that was an instant hit with my 14 month old, mainly down to its look and tune. The flippers don't propel the product in the water as was expected and the sound is quieter than expected so not always clear when in the bath. Still though it has been well received and played with even without the bath

This is a really nice bath toy & my son loves when it sings. However some tweaking on the design front is necessary because once this toy is in the water, you can barely hear the music at all.

Looks good in the box, hums row row row your boat and when you turn him face down, he gargles the same tune.However, on putting him in the bath water means that the water muffles the sound and when he is wound up he simply doesnt crawl anywhere, just flails his flippers around.My daughters think he is ok, but he just bobs about in the bath not doing a lot! A rather expensive teether it would seem!I won't replace the batteries when they fail that's for sure!

I'd like it to be a little louder so you can hear the singing while it is in the water - but otherwise a great distraction at shampoo time and fairly robust. Evie loves 'Row the boat' so it was perfect for her.

Ok. Looks like in the pictures. Easy to turn the butten to wind up the arms for swimming. But the sound is really low and hard to hear in the water, which is quite dissapointing. And it is hard for my almost 3year old to activate the music by herself.

Good price. But when it is in the water, it is not as 'active' as I thought.

Singing - hard to operate the singing noises, which is very disappointing as the first one I bought many years ago for my 1st Grandchild lasted a long time and he was able to operate it himself.

This toy is ok but when its in the water you can hardly hear the music and it doesnt swim like it should do. It is now in my little girls toy box because it is pointless in the bath.
