I bought this stud finder to help with some DIY projects I have undertaking at home. This is an incredibly useful tool for identifying the location of studs and electric wires. This has been of particular value for finding wooden beams to allow secure anchoring when securing heavy items to walls. Also being able to accurately identify the location of electricity cables is a significant safety feature to greatly reduce the risk of inadvertently drilling into live wires.This item is very compact, and is powered by a standard rectangular D battery so it is very mobile and can be used for checking areas that may be otherwise tricky to access.I would recommend this tool to anyone who has an upcoming DIY project where they may need to locate studs or cables as this product has been so helpful, I am not sure how I would have managed without it.

Ok for basic diy stuff. Temperamental sometimes works and sometimes does not so much but that’s ok if you don’t take chances.

Good product, got it for my husband who says that it needs getting used to. Comes with battery. Its easy to use and doesn't require much figuring out. Not a bad addition to a basic tool box.

I saw theses on a Facebook ad. I didn’t think they were a real thing. I am an electrician by trade and love to projects at home. I am current working on RGB Christmas lights and was soldering and heat shrinking the wires together until I got these! They are so easy to use and work extremely well. I will be ordering a lot more of them in the future. The heat shrink that is on the kit is nice also because it is all ready in small lengths.

This turned out to be a nice little assortment of Heat Shrink Tubing and Solder Seal Wire Connectors. The 8 different sizes of Heat Shrink Tubing and 4 sizes of Solder Seal Wire Connectors will definitely come in handy for me with all the crazy projects that I undertake.The Heat Shrink Tubing is pre-cut to usable lengths and will safe me time during repairs and builds. But what I really like is the and Solder Seal Wire Connectors which are fairly new to the market. These connectors are made with clear Heat Shrink Tubing and have a band of solder in the middle and a sealing ring on each end.To use the Solder Seal Wire Connectors you just pick the appropriate size connector, insert the wires to be connected, and then heat the connector to roughly 280 degrees Fahrenheit for a few seconds. The heat melts the solder to provide a good connection and also causes the Heat Shrink Tubing and Sealing Rings to shrink, encapsulating the solder joint providing protection from moisture and oxygen; the enemies of any electrical connection.Note: If you don't already own one buy yourself a nice Heat Gun that has the ability to stand on end. Besides a million other uses, it makes working with Shrink Tubing and Solder Seal Wire Connectors much nicer.I also like the little plastic storage case these came in. It has removable dividers and two real hinges that shouldn't break like the flex hinges on similar plastic cases and has am inventory sheet showing the different Tubing and Connectors as well as their sizes.
