This is a solidly built little hibatchi. We use it for Korean BBQ and for the occasional steak or burgers (3 max) to get that charcoal flavor. It's perfect for just the two of us and definitely too small for entertaining groups, where our larger gas grill works much better. The tool that comes with it is quite convenient for handling the hot grill top and it doubles as a bottle opener... nice design. We're very pleased with this and quite happy to have a charcoal grill again. This is a good value at this price and we can highly recommend it.

I bought this because I travel in a tiny RV with limited space. I wanted a grill that would fit in my RV. I am single. I do not need a gigantic grill. this is perfect. I can cook 1 or two steaks, salmon steaks, or chicken breasts. Perfect size. It is adorable but sturdy.

Purchased the Mini to take along camping. Grilled, using 16 Kingsford briquettes, a 1” thick, 1 lb. ribeye (it occupied the entire grill surface) at home before committing to packing/taking it on a trip. I was shocked at how delicious it turned out. It was evenly cooked and way juicier and tender than what my gas grill provides. It impressed me enough to purchase the CI-2020. I’ll be grilling much more frequently in the future using the IronMaster and briquettes.

Love the compact size. Excellent packaging. Worked well for 6 or great for just one. Only down side for me is the dripping. The oils, etc. dripped down on the side with the opening in the middle. Hence the foil lining for second use. You can make your own vent control with some folded or wadded up foil. Not too heavy for lil me (under 5 ft tall), was able to carry the 12lbs plus coal. Remember to season properly, oil it well and it will serve you well. Can use cut onion while it's hot to clean it. I think daikon works too. Just like anything cast iron, no soaps or abrasives. If you abuse it you will lose it. Only yourself to blame. Easy assembly, it literally is packed in the way you are supposed to assemble it...with numbers. Worth the fiddy five bucks spent.LOL at other reviews: It's too small! It's a mini... It's too expensive. 55 bucks is ridiculously fair, it's cast iron...It's too heavy. It's cast iron...Instructions are too hard to follow! Watch video...use brain...

This item is easy to assemble and use. It arrived on time and was well-protected. It is the perfect size for the two of us to use regularly and has enough space to do a couple of hamburgers or bratwurst without crowding or other issues. A great buy

solid and works well but didn't include grill plate which apparently doesn't come with this small model. i don't think the advertising for this particular unit stated that the plate was not included. also rusting within 2 weeks of outdoor use.
