Product Description The Me262 was the first and only fully operational jet-powered fighter aircraft developed during World War II. Because of the special handling characteristics of a jet-powered aircraft verses a propeller driven one, a two seat training conversion became necessary. This was designated the Me262B-1a, and was equipped with a second seat for the instructor along with full dual controls, and a pair of external fuel tanks. Box Contains Contains 170+ parts.

Nice kits but plastic not the greatest.
I have mixed feelings about Hobby Boss kits.First off they are very detailed kits and this Messerschmitt 262 includes a large white metal counter weight to avoid tailsitting. The quality of the plastic however is very soft, not ideal, and the engineering is a little over done and pretty complicated. At the price though they just cannot be beaten, at £15 quid for a 1/48 Messerschmitt 262, in fact most Hobby Boss kits are very inexpensive and have many variants you don't get from other kit manufacturers, especially for these prices. With a little thought and patience these kits could look really great. As with most kit builds, the more time and effort you put in, the better the result.... Allegedly.Summery: Nice and cheap, but plastic not the greatest, a bit flimsy but usable with care.If anything these kits are overengineered but very doable.Includes large white metal nose weight which doubles as the cockpit floor, a nice touch and inclusion. If the elastic was better quality Hobby Boss could be up there with Trumpeter kits.

Great model
Really nice model of the ME262. It goes nicely with the other variants of the model produced by this maker. Would recommend.

Very well detailed
Brilliant item, open gun bay and cockpit. One of the most detailed kits I've bought.
