Boilers for Power and Process Hardcover – Illustrated, 23 April 2009

Caveat: boilers are not my technical specialty. However, I read this cover to cover, and it answered all of my questions about water tube boilers at all commercial scales - from small package boilers to cogen and baseload power units, with all manner of fuels and firing. There is a tremendous amount of easy-to-access information in this volume. I'm still learning more as I go over it again. Note: the author often uses what I think are his own abbreviations for certain oft-repeated terms - it takes a while to get used to, but I am sure makes the text more readable. This is not a text on basic steam engineering or steam technology - it is expected that you will be knowledgeable in these areas.
