Capsule quite large to swallow but the supplement does seem to have begun helping me . I will continue to purchase them .

I have been taking Alpha Lipoic Acid for a while now. To be honest it's quite difficult to assess the effectiveness of food supplements and vitamins so a degree of 'faith' is sometimes required. I have not been aware of any ill-effects from taking ALA so that's good, and if you research the subject there are some good reasons offered as to why you might want to take it. I primarily take it to hopefully support nerve and muscle function, although if you read up on the subject there are other postential benefits (according to some reviews).I will generally take about 600mg per day so this NUTRILUS £9 pack will last me two months, and that's some of the most reasonably priced 'per-300mg-capsule' ALA I have seen for a UK-made product.The capsules arrive in a letter-box friendly plastic hard case and the contents are sealed underneath the clip-on lid. Like most ALA I have taken, the product is provided in normal-sized capsules that I find very easy to swallow, so no problems there.When it comes to something I am going to ingest I much prefer a UK product, and better still, a UK Manufactured product and this ALA has both those pedigrees (a Doncaster company) which I very much appreciate. The "Best Before" date on the pack I received is Jul 2024 which is more than generous. The product is also Vegan Friendly, which is good although personally I am not Vegan.It's worth mentioning that there are different types of ALA, but it's not really appropriate in this review to go into that... but again, the information is out there if you choose to look. I believe that there are two main forms of ALA (R- and S-) and normally you will find that ALA that is specifically listed as "R-" type by the manufacturer is a fair bit more expensive than the non-specifically listed types. It's a big subject and I have been content with the general ALA supplements I've used. I just thought I would mention what I have discovered about ALA since starting to take it (both in online printed documents and some excellent online videos if you spend an hour or two investigating).Good value for a UK-Manufactured, Vegan friendly 120 easy to swallow capsules. Gets 5 Star rating from me.

ALA is a supplement I've now taken in different forms for a few years (primarily for better energy levels and breaking-down carbs & turning them into fuel, but it's also a great anti inflammatory and good for getting the most out of your vitamin C and E intake, too).If you're not sure if this supplement is right for you or not then do your research properly first or consult a professional. If you're already confident about the benefits of ALA and know it's the right supplement for you then this is a brilliant value option as they'll last around four months taken at one a day which is more than enough at this strength which is outstanding value so would recommend and very pleased with them!
