Good read
A disturbing, yet necessary read which applies beyond the shores of the United States examining how corporate greed has impacted the lives of millions

Capitalism isn't the only way
In a modern world, where the rich own nearly all the media and try to convince everyone that there is only one way, its nice to see someone articulate the alternative narative

Really important discussion, but...
I'm not sure of the intended audience for this book. It wasn't me, I know that. A UK based left wing, political and economic observer. And I'm fine with that.I'm assuming it was for an American audience. But an audience already well versed in politics, who would immediately understand a Super PAC.The writing felt uneven and at times repetitive. I didn't need a blow by blow account of Sanders' presidential campaign. Maybe others did. There was a lot of really, really impotent observations, but I became frustrated at the why idea were not fully explored and developed.

Very useful insights
Accessible easy read. Well argued exposure of how the political discourse is shaped and how capitalism works to safeguard its interests. The question at the end must be: how can democracy be made to work for the ordinary people? A rather unsettling thought.

Superb analysis of what's wrong with the USA
This book is well reasoned, and sets out in great detail the extent of the greed of most billionaires, and the stark contrast with the struggles of low-paid workers in insecure employment.

Highly recommended reading!
Even if you end up disagreeing with much of what Bernie has to say, you won’t be able to deny his devotion and concern for the working class. His arguments will make you at least seriously think. A great summary of much that is working against the bottom 99% of us and examples from around the nation and world of what works. Bernie will challenge a lot of deeply held notions and may open your eyes to forces shaping society and the economy of which you are unaware.
