Works perfectly with pfSense
I was using Realtek cards with my pfSense build before, which FreeBSD has a lack of support for. My internet would constantly drop, etc. But this card works wonders with it, and haven't had a connection drop of quirk ever since. Perfect for a home pfSense build.

works on debian and openwrt
This card is detected right a way in debian 11 and openwrt without any issues and it works great. It comes with two brackets and I was able to change the long one to mini one and fit this into my dell optiplex 7010 small factor pc which is now my router + nas in one box. I recommend this card.

Perfect for OPNSense Box
Having had enough of using awful ISP provided routers, I decided to use an old Dell Optiplex to build a router based of OPNSense so needed an additional network port in the system. The card was a simple solution, cheap and easy to install and works perfectly with OPNSense. All setup and running and so much better.

Use the igb driver in Ubuntu
Working under Ubuntu LTS 20.04 using the IGB Driver. The MAC refers to Beijing Sinead Technology Co., Ltd. in China not Intel Corp so maybe it's a clone of the 82576 chip and not genuine Intel hardware.LAG and VLAN working fine.As people have mentioned, trying to use full 4Gbps bandwidth causes a drop in speed, even though it's connected to a 4x@PCIe2 Slot as confirmed by the LSPCI report which gives 16GBps in each direction, it should have more than enough bandwidth to saturate.LSPCI Report:LnkCap: Port #0, Speed 2.5GT/s, Width x4, ASPM L0s L1, Exit Latency L0s <4us, L1 <64usClockPM- Surprise- LLActRep- BwNot- ASPMOptComp-LnkCtl: ASPM Disabled; RCB 64 bytes Disabled- CommClk+ExtSynch- ClockPM- AutWidDis- BWInt- AutBWInt-LnkSta: Speed 2.5GT/s (ok), Width x1 (downgraded)TrErr- Train- SlotClk+ DLActive- BWMgmt- ABWMgmt-Here's what LSHW reports for both interfaces:description: Ethernet interfaceproduct: 82576 Gigabit Network Connectionvendor: Intel Corporationphysical id: 0bus info: pci@0000:02:00.0logical name: enp2s0f0version: 01serial: 80:61:5f:xx:xx:xxsize: 1Gbit/scapacity: 1Gbit/swidth: 32 bitsclock: 33MHzcapabilities: pm msi msix pciexpress bus_master cap_list rom ethernet physical tp 10bt 10bt-fd 100bt 100bt-fd 1000bt-fd autonegotiationconfiguration: autonegotiation=on broadcast=yes driver=igb driverversion=5.6.0-k duplex=full firmware=1.2.1 ip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx latency=0 link=yes multicast=yes port=twisted pair speed=1Gbit/s

works with proxmox and opnsense
Works with proxmox pass-through to a vm router / opnsense. Can't comment on the performance as i only have 70Mbit internet but processor usage is almost 0 while running a speed test so something is working well behind the scene and i assume it supports IOSRV for virtual environments. Not noticed an increase in power usage on my hypervisor either so that's a bonus.

ok NIC, but not complete solution
I needed NIC that would be natively supported in ESXi, that is working well with this product. However supplied drivers on dvd are old and win 10 installs its own version. This works fine unless like me you need to vlan tag. At this point the product does not function. (intel web does not help either)Ended up getting wifi card alongside as dual boot PC need now 2 adapters. If you dont need vlan tag, perfect product, go for it.If you do need vlan tag, then avoid this NIC.
