An absolute delightful Christmas classic, to enjoy time and time again. Loved sharing this with our little boy and brought back memories of looking at it with my mum and dad as a child.

This is beautifully illustrated and I liked that it was a board book. I didn’t think the images were too small as some reviewers suggested. Of course they are smaller - it’s a board book.It is - like The Snowman - wordless. However, because it is like this it stimulates dialogue. Your child can talk you through what’s happening from looking at the pictures which is fabulous! My daughter loved this book and took it around with her because she could ‘read’ it to herself.

My 3 year old son is fascinated by this book and able to enjoy it either on his own (picture book) or with me adding some thoughts and explanations for us to discuss together. A magical book in the run up to Christmas.

I was first given this book en 1977 (when I was 8), in the Portuguese version. Needless to say that I absolulety adored it, so much so, that everytime I misplaced it, I bought a new copy! It so happens that now I have all 3, since I found the original, and the 1st replacement (I know, it's nuts!). And not happy, about 3 or 4 years ago I bought the English original. Reading (and seeing) this book it's just one of those magical moments in the time of our lives that remain like that, magical forever! Every time I read it, or just pick it up, my mind travels back to those days, when magic over Christmas was a never ending feeling (even despite having lost my Dad in '76). A grumpy old man, like we'll all be when the time comes, I thought I should take the time to write a bit about how magical this small book was to me!

Disappointed in the size of this book, as to really enjoy the pictures you need a larger book. Next time will go for paper back and double the size

I didnt read the other reviews which state this is the size of a ladybird book. It arrived and was dinky. Too much detail going on each page for a book that size. Have returned, for paperback version, which is larger.The paperback version is amazing, much bigger and clearer pictures. Love it

Excellent book from the days when children's stories had booze in them. Nothing woke here. Love it.

Fantastic story and pictures in this old classic. But for some reason it's been shrunk down from it's original format. Pictures and test are now too small and it's not that great for children to read!

Me ha gustado mucho, es muy simpático, aconsejo comprar el libro de tapa blanda porque tiene el mismo gran tamaño que el de los años 80 y se pueden apreciar bien los dibujos. Todo un clásico.

Curiosando tra i libri del bimbo di una cara amica che vive in Giappone ho trovato Father Christmas e l'ho praticamente DIVORATO, ridendo a crepapelle e provando anche un grande sentimento di tenerezza. E' divertente, è non convenzionale e umanizza la magia del Natale, senza togliere nulla alla fantasia.Non poteva mancare nella mia libreria!ADORO!
