No expiry date on product and expensive but ellagic acid is likely to be beneficial for health
The LifeWize® Pomegranate Extract Capsules arrive in a brown recyclable (PET 01) plastic bottle. Printed on the bottle is the nutritional information - pomegranate peel containing ellagic acid in a hypromellose capsule. There is no information on additional excipients - so I have to assume there are no additional excipients - which is surprising but may be true. There are also the directions for use and a claim that the lot number and expiry date are printed on the bottom of the bottle However this last claim is untrue as the lot number and expiry date are not printed anywhere on the bottle - nor is the date of manufacture - so I have no idea how old this product is.I had not heard of Ellagic acid before - although I did know of some research on pomegranates. There is little research on ellagic acid in humans but some in animals and test tubes indicating potential beneficial effects.Without too much detail ellagic acid is a nonflavonoid polyphenolic compound consumption of which can have either a direct health benefit or if it is not absorbed (true for supplements more than if the source is from fruit) then in many people with a healthy microbiome the ellagic acid is converted by the microbiome, in part, into bioactive urolithins which may have its own beneficial effects both on the microbiome itself and in the person. There are a wide range of possible benefits - look it up if interested. The price point is quite high compared to alternative options for sale on Amazon.Bottomline - as it seems that ellagic acid has a series of potential benefits and so far appears safe so I would be happy to increase it in my diet. I would prefer to do this by consuming foods rich in ellagic acid (especially if the supplement bottle does not have an expiry date written on it). Nevertheless, I have no proof either way; expired or not - so as I believe there is some potential health benefit of increasing your intake of ellagic acid by supplementation and I would certainly recommend the product if all the relevant information was printed on the bottle.

Excellent Product
On a recent trip to Southeast Asia, I developed a particular issue with blood flow to my legs. I am insulin resistant and I must be very careful with rice, noodles, carbs etc. In Asia avoiding rice/noodles is not easy.So my blood sugars rose whilst we were in Vietnam. Also, the amount of sugar that is put into the sauces can be horrendous. This can create a situation where a combination of thicker cholesterol can go through the veins and block them. The problem was then compounded by incredible humidity and potential dehydration. This mix of heat and high-carb food created a leg/vein issue whereby blood flow became restricted to my legs.I was in Vietnam, it was Saturday night. Luckily having been in the health food business for many years I recognised what was going on. Also, I was a bit frightened about going to the hospital, whereby few would speak English. My first line of defence was Omega 3, Black Seed Oil, Asprin, water and Grape Seed extract. This combination worked over 2 days.If you are ever in this kind of situation then you can use grape seed or red vine leaf. The problem with both these supplements is that they can create stomach issues, diarrhoea and bloating. Pomegranate extract can also increase blood flow throughout the body and is just as good as Vine Leaf, without stomach complications. The other side effect of using Pomegranate extract is its effect on blood pressure. Using this product my blood pressure also has gone down. I struggle with BP and happily using this extract has helped to normalise it. This product helps circulation, does not cause stomach issues and has the side effect of lower blood pressure. If that was not enough, it's also anti-inflammatory. Overall this is a great product that works. It works very fast and it helps so many functions of the body.Recommended.

Good 1500mg Pomegranate capsules that work well
This bottle of Lifewize 120 Pomegranate capsules are good quality 1500mg and plenty enough to last a few months before needing to purchasing more. Another thing that caught my eye was the healthy ingredients and also vegan, which was a bonus. Its the first time I've tried these and my body is responding well to these Pomegranate capsules. The tablets are small and I found them easy to swallow with plenty of water. The beige capsules are small and easy to take.I actually feel alert and well being, but not sure if its all from the Pomegranate capsules, but I know its doing something good to my system with all its goodness and natural ingredients.Whatever it is, I am happier and feel better since taking these.I am quite sensitive to improvements.Good value for money.

Good value Pomegranate extract capsules, but best before date missing
These LifeWize 1500mg high strength Pomegranate extract capsules are good value when compared to the usual lower strength capsules available.I had been taking 2 of the capsules daily now for some time. Usual I would take these with my lunch so it doesn't upset my stomach. Pomegranate is a really high in antioxidants, and is also rich in vitamins and minerals including Vitamin C, Potassium, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Iron, Folate and Calcium. Also, these should have good Anti-Inflammatory properties.Personally, I had mainly taking these for good prostate health especially now am in my later years. I said “had been taking” as I have stopped because I couldn't find the best before date that should be printed on the bottom.Overall, this seems like a good product but it’s let down by important missing labelling.I hope you find my review helpful

Four months supply
LifeWize's vegan pomegranate supplement is produced in Germany to high standards. Packed with antioxidants, these capsules are highly potent supplements, packed with all vitamins required to help boost immunity. The Amazon page is full of useful information on this product. Expensive, but four months' supply reduces the price tag somewhat.
