Q: Do you have to use heat to make it work?

It's not heat activated if that's what you're asking. But it's like most styling products (mousse, gel, etc) in that you apply before blow drying. It is a cream but not like a leave in conditioner. Hope this helps. I have thin, baby fine hair and this is one of my all time favorite styling products.

Q: In the description it said the product is paraben free however the ingrediants are methylparaben and propoylparaben, seems a bit misleading?

Aqua/Water/Eau, Cetyl Alcohol, PVP, Polysorbate 20, Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol, Panthenol, Propylene Glycol, Caprylyl Glycol, Parfum (Fragrance), Sodium Hydroxide, Styrene/VP Copolymer, Polyquaternium-55, Cyclotetrasiloxane, Tocopheryl Acetate, Benzyl Benzoate, Limonene, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Linalool, Hexyl Cinnamal, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Hydroxycitronellal, Benzyl Salicylate, Citronellol, Hydrolyzed Corn Protein, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Sorbic Acid, Benzophenone-4, Geraniol, CI 15985 (Yellow 6). We have notified Amazon of this issue and are working to have this fixed immediately!

Not a strong smell at all......just a light scent....excellent product....you will love it.....I also use the shampoo.
