BulldogBulldog 9128N Premier Springbok Lawn Rake

As a gardener by day I get to "play" with lots of different tools and equipment. Proper "buys toys" kind of fun! I've had a few rakes over the last 8 years however I have stopped buying other brands once I found Bulldog.The springbok rake is surprisingly well made and will make light work of raking out leaves and moss from lawns, although a plastic rake is better for leaf collection (along with a blower, or maybe a handful of kids willing to clear the leaves for their pocket money :)So anyway, having had my last Bulldog rake for 3 years it finally started giving up the ghost. A couple of the rivets came out - the ones that hold each of the metal teeth into place - I fixed this with a DIY "bodge it" repair, by simply using a tie wrap top hold it in place - still going strong.I've purchased a new Bulldog rake because my scarifying season is here and a substantial amount of raking is needed, so better to have a second one - good for the day job, but even better for rubbing my man-ego :) Especially when friends only have one!So when being used every day on a full time basis, it's done surprisingly well - worth the little extra cost. Well balanced and will help you shift a bit of pre-christmas belly fat if you put some effort into it.

I've been a gardener for over 18 years now and I own my own business. We gave up buying any other rake other than bull dog about 2 years in. The quality of this product is just genius. We use them every week and pretty hard at times- we'll still get about 3-4 years out of the product! Other rake designs and materials just don't last, they bend, they rust etc etc. Trust me the quality of this product is top notch. My only advice is to check locally as I bought mine then went to a local nursery and because they buy in bulk it was about 3 quid cheaper. So yeah- note to seller if you keep this product priced at £20-22 delivered- you'd sell a lot more...whose going to buy on the web if their local shop is about the same price and it's in the van with no wait....just a heads up! Great item, packaged well and I was still pretty happy!

Extremely well built, solid rake. I get the feeling this rake will outlast me.It is a sturdy rake which I use for not only gathering leaves in the Autumn but to help scarify the lawn as well. It was pulling the moss faster than Russell Brand.It's got a long laquered wooden handle and strong solid metal teeth. It feels like if you left it outside in your garden, forgot about it for about 15 years and then discovered it the thing would probably not look any different!

Good quality product. I have purchased a couple of products from this company and they are well made and sturdy.

I'm tired of buying tools that look good but are not robust. I read some of the reviews on the Bulldog and noted that some professionals were using them and getting good life out of them I decided to pay a little more than usual and get something that will last.

I know it's ridiculous, but I love my rake. I saw it reviewed elsewhere before plumping for it, British made (Wigan?) and made as a tool for life. Hard wearing metal head all riveted and strong, nicely comfortable handle. I have a small garden so this feels like overkill, but it's nice to have something so obviously well made.

Excellent product would definitely recommend this. Arrived speedily and does a great job, as other reviews state very sturdy I'm expecting it to last a long time

UK industrial product, substantial no gimmicks or finnesse, not advertised by a garden guru, so its got to be good. does the job and more than likely for years to come.
