I was hoping these socks would be cool enough for my boots this summer. I have other smart wool socks that are over 15 years old and no holes. Thus pair was just too warm for summer but I will love them for fall and winter. Great cushion in the heels!

I always go back to these. They will last miles and miles and miles. Great fit, nice cushion. Warm without discomfort. Also makes good slippers. Too warm during our hot, muggy summer though.

Size 10B, bought size Large, The Women's Hike 65% wool sock is slightly less thick and fluffy than the 71% Unisex Hike. The upper band is also slightly narrower. If you prefer a wider band and woollier feel, then go with Unisex.Bought these for an everyday warm sock in my hikers. Cheaper wool socks are often too tight fighting and the band is uncomfortable by end of day, even on my skinny ankles. Pulled out an old pair of Smartwool from ages back, and they were so much more comfortable that I thought I’d treat myself to another pair or two. It's like walking on clouds. .
