I had film on my windows already but after 14 years it was looking tired and I wanted to find film that would cover the wide window in one sheet rather than 2 sections split down the middle. The previous film was 60cm wide so I was happy to find this at 99cm wide. The previous film gave a blurry view - you could still see cars and people passing (see the photos with the plant pots), but it stopped people being able to stare in. (Our house is right on the street with no front garden or yard and it’s a bit weird when there is a traffic jam and people are stuck in their cars staring at you eating breakfast!). I think our last film had sticky adhesive - not quite so simple to remove (tip: use a razor blade to slide under the film).This new film is a little thicker - we can’t even see the shape of the cars going past but it was super easy to put up. Cutting it to make sure you have 1cm more than you need is probably the hardest part but a large cutting mat with lines is a big help. And you do have to get EVERY speck off the window to avoid air bubbles but it’s easier to put on than putting a screen protector on your mobile without bubbles. (Tip: wet the window with soapy water and then run a razor blade gently across the window - you will feel where the dirt is even after you’ve cleaned it). At first I thought the 15cm ruler would be a complete waste of time as I was needing to cut1.2m but to push the film right to the edges and getting a straight cut with a scalpel it was invaluable. It’s thin so you can get a much more accurate cut. The cloth was very good at removing the pesky specks of dust without depositing files in return. I didn’t use the blade - my scalpel had a longer blade which I found more useful but all in all I thought the tools provided were great - I was expecting them to be gimmicks.The thicker film refracts more of the light - the two photos without the plants were taken late afternoon and evening, - which I was very pleased with. We have a lovely yew tree on the other side of the road which does suck all the daylight away but this film helps to throw light back in the room - it’s lighter with the film than without it.All in all, I was very pleased with the film - it’s a quality product and easy to use.

This window frosting is great. Easy to apply and it looks amazing.I measured and cut a size that was 2 cm bigger than the window in each side, allowing for ease of application.After cleaning the windows i used some all purpose kitchen spray all over the window, and before applying removed the protective film and put it on the window. I used our shower cleaning squeegee to get rid of an bubbles, but had to go over with a smaller harder credit card to get some of the tiny bubbles out. I used a sharp knife to trim off the excess making sure to press the film right into the corner of the window as the knife was moving down the frosting sheet. I then wiped off excess water and viola! Done.The instructions are clear (as far as i can remember) and it came with an anti static window wiping cloth too!I would recommend having a larger area (if your window is big!) to measure and cut your piece. I would also suggest having help. The film is floppy and can fold onto itself...although with it being static as opposed to adhesive, it was easy to fix!The outcome is great, it lets in a lot of light and keeps our living room private. I'll be getting some more soon!

I was a little apprehensive when ordering this, worried about the results and ease of fitting. I live in a converted, upstairs flat with double glazing on a busy-ish road. I have bay windows and when sitting on the sofa watching TV I can see about 7-8 equivalent 'upstairs' living rooms across the street, making me feel very exposed and so found myself leaving curtains closed most of the time. I wanted to frost/opaque the lower half of my windows to let light in but give privacy and this seemed a solution. I also didn't want adhesive type window film, potentially making it a problem to remove.I'm very happy with the results, especially given the low cost. My advice to anyone considering this for their windows is to make sure you watch a few videos on static clIng window film fitting. It's pretty straightforward but you do need to take care and absolutely follow the instructions. I've seen some reviews claiming that there's no backing film to peel off as per instructions and stories of the film simply falling off. There is absolutely backing film on this but it is a real pain to peel. It took a lot of effort and frustration to peel. Make sure you put a couple of drops of shampoo in your spray bottle and to soak the window generously with spray - soak it - before applying the film.The included cutter is absolutely fine for the job, very sharp. The ruler is pretty much useless as its too short. So invest in a metal metre-rule to help cut longs straight edges and measure correctly. Make sure to over-size your measurements as per instructions so you have some excess to cut off once applied. Use a credit card to squeeze out the air bubbles. But most importantly take your time! The product is excellent if you plan and be methodical. The first window pane I did came out fine, but not perfect. I'd recommend buying a larger roll to allow for one measuring/cutting mistake too.Overall love it. I got exactly what I wanted. Loses one star for the most infuriating backing film I've ever come across. I think this is hard because of the static clIng effect of the film. But it did wear me down after a few windows.

Fantastic! So easy to cut, apply and stays. Allows light through and full daytime privacy. Same for evening, when lights are on. If standing too close to window will show shadows. Definitely works better to make bigger cuts, slightly soapy water on both window and shiny side. Then use the knife (which is supplied with purchase!) to cut, while smoothing the film. I used a rubber window squeegee, to help me smooth.

El envío llego en el tiempo estimado,El material es lo que se aprecian en las fotos ,oscurece bien , a la hora de ponerlo , , es Facil Limpias ventana con cristasol , lo secas ,le quitas el film al producto , lo mides y cortas ,con el cúter que envían , humedecer el material , lo pones en el cristal y con la regla que envían le quitas las burbujas.Yo estoy muy contento , volveré a comprarlo, para más ventanas

Schnelle Lieferung und auch super stabile Folie.. Wie auf dem Bild zu sehen ist, habe ich damit eine Haustür und nebenliegendes Fenster beklebt.. Super einfach.. Wasser aufs Fenster und Folie, rauf und nur noch anrakeln.. Kleines Messer, Lineal und Tuch sind auch dabei.. Top, werde ich wieder mal bestellen!
