Original Bandai Tamagotchi, Gen 1, Marble Shell with Chain - The Original Virtual Reality Pet

This took me right back to my childhood and I forgot how annoying these things can be! I bought one for each of my daughters and they did struggle a little to understand what buttons needed to be pressed to complete actions but over time they got it.I’ve marked down one star as I just don’t remember these things being quite so needy! Even once we got their health and hunger bars full, kept them clean etc they were still beeping every 5-10mins and seemed to need constant attention. This got tiresome after a while especially as we were trying to enjoy our Christmas morning and so they ended up getting ignored and ultimately passing on to Tamagotchi heaven! We’ll give them a go again another day.

Got this for my wife for valentines day, at first she loved it, thought it was a great idea for a gift...then the tamagotchi beeps and beeps and beeps all day long and she ended up shouting at it to give her some peace. Fantastic. Then the tamagotchi left and she now misses it.So if you wanna get a gift for your partner that they will love at first and then complain about forever then this is it. :-)

Ok but poor brightness

The tech is SO basic, they could sell these for a fiver and still make money on them. The tiny screens are so dark you can barely see what's going on, and the one we bought errored on day 7, so we had to reset it, after which point our daughter lost interest.
