Seems to work well.
I'm not sure one could really offer 5 star 'I love it' for a medical aid unless it was life transforming.I bought this leg raiser to help with recovery from a small injury that seems to be taking too long to repair. It works very well, stays in place and is comfortable enough to use. I've had it about a week and found it took a few days to become used to having it in place. There are a couple of things that might be worth mentioning. Neither is a criticism of the cushion.I'm about 6ft tall with perhaps slightly long legs and the shape of the cushion on first use seemed a little unlike the shape of my legs. However after a few nights of use I suspect it is softening the surface a little (as one would expect) and I'm getting used to it so things feel more natural. Just be aware that for some people first impressions may not meet expectations so give it a few days.Secondly I have a duvet and the weight of that over the foot is quite noticeable at first. Again I have got used to it within a few days and in my case it is not a problem to have that "weight" on the foot. However I would imagine that there are other situations where people might find that more difficult and a suitable frame to raise bedclothes over the cushion would be desirable. If I really get to the point where I find I can't live without the this support and it is standing the test of long term use I may pop back and up the rating!

Definitely raises the legs above the heart.
Diagnosed with Venous insufficiency back in Oct 2015. I was prescribed a compression stocking which really helped a lot to relieve swelling of my ankle. Then, recently, the swelling came back despite still wearing stocking. No-one had ever told me I should keep my legs elevated.Luckily, read online about doing so and searched for the best method. Like many others had used stacked pillows which didn't do great job and most nights would find they had slid off bed.Ordered this on Wed 5 June and arrived very quickly on Fri 7th. After a trip to Disney Paris which consisted of walking and standing most of the day for 5 days my ankles were quite swollen and my big toe was very sore. After a couple nights using this I found a great reduction in swelling and was no longer sore.Would recommend.

Not as hoped
I ordered this to help with circulation problems. It arrived quickly. It's about the size I expected and I bought the countered support because I thought it looked more comfortable. Using it for the first time now it had black marks on the material like someone had already tried it. It does have a zip so I'm guessing the cover comes off. It isn't a particularly great incline so I'd say my feet are probably as high as my heart but definitely not higher. I guess I could put a cushion under the support. My inside leg 31 and it sort of fits. My heels are on the end ridge but it isn't comfortable. I don't really know why it isn't. I have turned it over so the contours are on the bed and a flat surface is under my legs and that for me is more comfortable so I'll probably use it that way. If it was a small item I'd return it but it's not.

Comfey and sturdy and works
Been having a lot of issues with ankle stiffness and swelling and a lot of pain as a result. Thought I'd try this and really pleased with results. After 3 nights, swelling completely gone and stiffness almost eliminated too. It's well padded to support and elevate, pretty comfortable to use and fits easily under the duvet. It could be a little wider just to allow forba bit more movement, but overall, I'd recommend... especially if you have swelling in ankle/lower leg.

Leg support
Suffer from spinal injury and swollen ankles - been looking for something which will lift feet into air without straining back of knees or crushing back of lower legs - saw this - brilliant - bought because of reviews - came almost overnight - light as a feather to carry - firm and cosy under legs/knees - plenty wide enough for both legs without them slipping off - doesn't slide on bed and just the right height for raised feet + potential for pillow on top to raise feet even higher if required - delighted with it = happened to see it on Amazon by chance and so simple ad yet meets every need incl price - took to it instantly and even found it helped each sciatic pain by comfortably repositioning hip - nearly dozed off straight away - at price best buy ever and this was cheapest one on site - can HIGHLY recommend for anyone who is falling apart like me and does actually fit as snugly under knees as in foto - life changed instantly from moment it arrived and v fast delivery - nice product, clean etc - would certainly buy for friends and for me would buy again....excellent value/cheap - Squirrel 59 - 27.6.16

Dog hairs cling to it most annoying, but it does work and is comfortable.
I use this on my recliner chair when watching TV and find it works very well in that my ankles swelling goes down after an hour or so. I just wish one could buy a spare cover that was made in a different material as it picks up hair from my black Labradors which are difficult to remove. I cover it with a bath towel but this tends to go askew when one moves and constantly needs re-positioning. A cover in in a thick cotton twill or the like would be ideal or even terry towelling, if I had a sewing machine I would make one myself, but sewing by hand through thick fabric is a job too far.
