Irish and American Fiddle Tunes for Harmonica

A nice book with just over 100 tunes, good explanations & presentation. BUT...20 of the tunes CAN ONLY BE PLAYED WHEN USING...a 12 hole "G" diatonic harmonica. These 12 hole harps aren't cheap. Having said that, the rest of the book appears to be very well set out & well explained. The remaining tunes are also varied in style. So over all a fairly good buy. I just think that I'm not yet ready to go to the expense of investing in an expensive 12 hole harp that I might not use that much. But you never know?? And there are still around 80 other tunes to learn!!!

Trying to find a 'decent' TAB book for the harmonica is not always easy. I have had some disapointments when they arrive, too small, too short, too easy, the 'same' as lots of other just jiggled around.This one is a pleasent change and will keep me in tunes for plenty of time to come. Its got a good mix of tunes, airs, jigs, polkas. The guides are clear, even a little funny at times, yet still come over as a well put together publication. The accompanying CD is excellent, with a 'slow' and fast version to help you come along.All in all a good book to include in to your music book collection.

a tasty collection of tunes that are great to listen to on the companion cd ,these arrangments are well worth learning ,no bending just straight playing ,turkey in the straw , on a g ,harmonica is one of my favourites
