Silver Viscount 2021 Sewing Machine

Having used a Frister & Rossman machine for around 30 years, I found this machine lightweight, cheap, and badly made. Within 18 months the self-threading option had stopped working, A small piece of metal has dropped out of the lighting mechanism and the spring-loaded clip to keep the bobbin in place whilst loading it with cotton has fallen out (have to use blue-tack to make it work). The clumsy design around the the needle makes it very fiddly to replace the needle.All in all, in my opinion a complete waste of money. I wouldn't honestly recommend this machine to anyone. I believe there are cheaper and same priced machines currently available that are so much better.

Only started sewing 12 months ago and purchased a small, sewing machine to get me going. Within a week I was making double thickness canvass blinds for my conservatory. I had to borrow my Mums super duper computerised machine for this. After using a powerful machine, I became very frustrated by my limited machine. I needed a machine that would allow me to achieve anything I wanted to create! I didn't want to spend the £400 that my mum's machine cost and although it was very easy to use, computerised didn't appeal much either. So, I spent months researching and found the Silver 2021. Silver were not a brand I had heard of, however, their reputation for quality and service is second to none. The machine is weighty and large, and will power through anything you ask of it, (even leather!) it comes with a generous set of accessories and an even larger number are available to add to your collection. For this price, you will not be able to buy anything even close to its quality and ability. HIGHLY recommended!
