Good quality buy
I have used quite a few D Link products in the past and all have been good quality so when i saw this I thought I got to give it a try. I wasn't disappointed as it performs great. Of course people are going to get different results depending on there connection but I like it and its very compact.

Nice and Easy to use
purchased this USB Wi-FI 6 looking to increase the performance of my laptop from Gaming too far the device is pumping out some quick Wi-Fi Speeds, I'm using this in combination with my ASUS WI-Fi Gaming router RT-AX86U.Relatively easy to install, I made the mistake of originally plugging the thing into a USB-2.0 port, wondering why there wasn't a noticeable speed increase. then I released the mistake and plugged it into USB 3.0 port, Software, and installation on the driver straightforward and was up and running within minutes.

Got working with Macbook Pro/OSX Mountain Lion but took persistence
My sister's inbuilt Wifi on her oldish Macbook pro got fried, so I was looking for a new solution. I bought this because I saw Mac drivers on D-Link's web site. Didn't notice or pay much attention to fact that latest driver was only for Mac Lion. The installer appeared to work but the instructions on it talk about stuff in Network preferences which simply isn't there and nothing worked. Did a bit more research and discovered via Google that it contains a Realtek rtl8192su chip, so I went to the Realtek web-site and found a mountain lion driver but the link pointed at a javascript void. Decided to try opening the web page in Safari instead of Firefox and voila, the link worked - downloaded Wlan_11n_USB_MacOS10.8_Driver_UI_2.0,1De-installed the previous driver as required in the instructions in the first dialog of the new installer (using the de-installer for the previous driver, not the one in the new driver software package)The installer seemed pretty much the same as the previous driver, again with the nonsense instructions BUT when I rebooted, a blue light started flashing on the USB drive and a special Wifi dialog box opened, from which I was able to connect to Wifi. It doesn't integrate at all with the Mac Airport pie indicator on the top bar, but it does work. Note that "it just worked" there was no need to poke around in network preferences as suggested in the instructions - your mileage may vary though. The good: Once you have it working, it seems reliable and faster than the inbuilt Wifi was. It is tiny - the plan is to leave it in all the time and the macbook can still be slid in and out of its cover with a little care. The price was pretty good! The bad: Getting it working (on a mac!) requires hunting and detective work. The Realtek installation driver gives unnecessary and incorrect instructions. Whilst functional, the configuration/connection tool is clunky and not as intuitive as Mac users might typically expect.

Worked for 3 months - then totally died
This worked fine for 3 months, then it totally died on me. I tried to enable it - nothing. Moved to different ports, even different PCs nothing. Luckily I kept the older wifi adapter so I still have internet on my PC. A terrible product - I would expect it to have been fine and worked for years - not 3 MONTHS!!!

Great Product worked out of the box
My daughter has a Dell laptop but the wifi signal suddenly weakened. Plugged this in, disabled the onboard wifi and hey presto full signal. Brillant simple and cheaper than getting the onboard wireless fixed!

Good but not compatible
I bought this adapter on 15th November 2013 hoping it would be compatible with my WDTV Live HD Media Player (Part no.:WDBAAP0000NBK-01). It isn't! The Western Digital list of compatible adapters specifies that the version/revision is not listed, whereas the adapter I received is hardware version B1 and firmware version 2.01. So most likely the chipset is slightly different from the original and thus won't work. I must say the WDTV player has been a bit of a pain since I got it due to it's lack of compatibility. This is the second wireless adapter that I have found incompatible. As far as the adapter itself goes, it is fast and has a good range (tested on PC and laptop)so I'll give it 3 stars for that.

Works for me
For some reason my ASUS barebone M3A-3200 wouldn't recognise the Netgear wireless dongle which we had been using for a while in another machine (ACER 5100). Having a D-Link DIR-855 router I chose to go with the same manufacturer to try and sort it out. It worked, the signal quality is good enough for it be used in a bedroom, where the signal is passing through a floor and a wall. I can only give this product 5 stars as it does exactly what I wanted it to do and it does it well, is unobtrusive and is relatively inexpensive. Upload and download speeds are better than expected for a small dongle

Works well on Windows 10
I got this to have a means of quickly adding Wifi to older desktops while debugging them. It's small and compact. On Windows 10 the supplied application is needed configure the Access Point & password, but installation was straightforward. Signal strength seemed decent for such a small device. The one caution is that there are no MacOS drivers for recent MacOS releases (Catalina onwards), but this is a known issue with legacy hardware like this. Linux *should* be OK but I haven't tried that yet.

VCM 2
Works great with VCM2. Needs two for it to work correctly, one for the laptop (even if the laptops has Bluetooth) and one for the VCM. Ford tech here that bought my own VCM2 and wanted to go wireless and I use this, my laptop and VCM2 3-4 times a day. Not an issue at all, highly recommend over the same thing on the rotunda website for 4x the money.

Ottimo adattatore Wi-Fi
Funziona proprio bene. Stabile e facilissimo da installare su Windows 10. Ottimo il led che indica l'attività di rete. Se hai bisogno di qualcosa che funziona subito, anche se non ha prestazioni strabilianti, questo è un adattatore da prendere in considerazione.
