Perfect & so quiet! I have the big, 12 inch for my Syrian hamster. It is smooth gliding, whisper quiet, has great traction for her feet & the weight of the wood makes it stable. No wobbling or warping, plus it's beautifully crafted. Natural wood making it perfect for a realistic outdoor environment.

Silent as mentioned. It was great but I don’t recommend for gerbils. Great products but there was no chance it would survive my gerbils. But it was great while it lasted.

Yes, it's silent. And yes, it looks nice and natural if you want more of a habitat than a kids toy cage. However.... Within 24 hours, my 2 mice destroyed the cork lining on the inside of the wheel, and it was covered with urine and feces, which brings me to the biggest issue. A wooden wheel is impossible to clean and it STINKS!!! Within 2 days of use I could smell that darned thing from upstairs!Because its solid wood amd soft cork, you can't easily rinse it or use soaps/sanitizers. Apparently (per google) the only way to clean it is to soak it for a few hours in water/apple cider vinegar, and scrape off the poops - which are firmly embedded in the cork/wood, btw! THEN, it takes 2-3 days for the wood to fully dry out before it is useable again. That is way too much effort, and my mice would go crazy without their wheel for a few days.I will never buy a wooden wheel again, and I can't return this because its ruined. While I don't love the look of cheap plastic wheels, at least they are easy to clean, and don't soak up urine like a sponge. Save your time and money, and get something else.

this was the only wheel i could find that was actually quite, once hammy found out he could chew up the soft pad board that lines the inside of the wheel, as soon as i got him a new one hed immediately tear it up by the next day. i did replace it i think 3 times, the first bc he had torn up the pad so i thought i needed too, the 2nd time bc it had been quite some time & the fact its wooden, the pee & poop gets absorbed..3rd time same thing so its not a one time buy however it is still the only wheel id get for hammy

The good: very quiet, hamster loves it and I really wanted to love it to.The Bad: poorly constructed, The wheel base is a nice wood platform but the wheel itself is some type of cheap plywood and that really lowered my love of this product, if you drop it, it will probably break or crack the wheel itself. The cork lining pulled off the wheel day one. I hot glued it back on but who knows how long it will last. And as so many others have said the cork it very difficult to keep clean sadly.I'll be looking for a different wheel sadly.

I purchased this wooden hamster running wheel for my daughter’s hamster, and it's been a great addition to its habitat. The wheel's design is a hit with the hamster, who loves running on it. The only sound you hear is the gentle patter of the hamster's feet, which is perfect since hamsters are nocturnal and tend to be active at night.The build quality is generally good, but there was a small issue with the cork lining. It wasn't glued securely in all places, particularly at one seam in the inner circle. However, this was easily fixed with a small drop of glue on each side of the seam. After this minor adjustment, the wheel has been functioning perfectly.Despite this small hiccup in the construction, I would still recommend this wheel. Its quiet operation is a significant plus, especially for those who keep their hamster's cage in a bedroom or living area. Just be prepared to possibly make a simple fix to ensure the cork lining stays in place.

First time hamster owner. I’ve had fig since January and I replaced her small pet store week almost immediately. It’s been 3 months and she loves her wheel! It’s sturdy, made of good quality and for the price point I couldn’t be happier. She doesn’t chew on the cork or bite/potty on it so it’s still in good shape. I bought the 8.2 inch wheel and fig is a robo hamster. The wheel doesn’t take up too much space but I put it on a platform (fig has an 80 gallon aquarium for reference).
