BLUESCREEN/CRASH DAILY If it blue screens before 30 days DEMAND RETURN IMMEDIATELY
BLUESCREEN/CRASH DAILY If it blue screens before 30 days DEMAND RETURN IMMEDIATELYThis is my first true gaming PC and the experience has been pretty disappointing. First, off I like to start on a positive note so first some pro of the laptop ASSUMING you receive a good model like most people here. -Handels many games well, all the games I normally play, mostly free online games with no problems at all, all can be set to high, the only high end game I play Red Dead redemption 2 is recommend to be at mid to low setting and at that setting handels the game well. -Personally like the hardware,(i’m not picky) keyboard is responsive, Screen looks good to me, plenty (3) usb ports, usb-C HDMI, ethernet everything I needed. -built in speakers are loud but sound a bit muffled but not to bad. -connected to internet fast -boots up in seconds -everything I could have wanted from a Gaming laptop as a somewhat casual game player. With the exception of what what I am about to tell you.YES, every single one of those is a separate instance of this laptop crashing over the course of the month of February. 21 times this month, and those spare 7 days, where days where i just didn't have time to use my computer much. So I can safely say that this thing crashes once a day. Why? What was I doing during the crashes? I have no idea. I could be in the middle of playing a game, I could be watching youtube, reddit, absolutely nothing. I suspected it was this or that, removed it, patched updated it, NOPE. Crashes once a day at a random time. Now I got this thing in early december? So why do I post this now, and why do I only 1 months worth of crash pictures? Why not talk to customer service and get a replacement? Well that because I decided to document the crashes on the REPLACEMENT laptop that they sent me.So where do I start on this whole ordeal. -Received the laptop early december was very happy -crash began a few days later, at first a little surprised but hey they happen...right? -rate of crash increase from a few days to everyday over the course of 3 weeks. (keep in mind the return policy on the company that sells this amazing product is 30days to if this happen RETURN RETURN RETURN, I did not know that) -At (Compter Blue screen at this point in me writing this review so 22 crashes this month) So as I was saying At this point contacted the seller MAZE TECH to ask if i could get some help or a replacement. -was asked to factory reset the computer which I did after a few days of reorganizing my files, the reset had no effect as the computer continued to crash daily after this. -asked for a return, unfortunately someone threw out the original box at around 2 weeks for a bit of christmas cleaning, and thus was told that i would be charged a 10% restocking fee. YOUR KIDDING ME RIGHT? 10 percent restocking fee, 70 dollars on a defective laptop? I even told them if they gave me the full refund I would by the same computer again immediately. 70 less dollars means i can’t afford another gaming laptop. NOPE nothing they can do, my only options are send it back for repair or receive a pre owned, used and returned replacement. Well a replacement would be ok I said but only if they could guarantee that the replacement laptop is about as new and in similar conditions to the current one i had at that point. I don’t want to return a month old still somewhat pristine laptop to get a months old used one with wear and tear right? NOPE can’t guarantee nothing. Well nothing I can do at that point so I asked for a return label. -So I pack up the laptop dropped it of at fedex and on a whim asked how long will it take to get to the sellar? “Oh a day or two, the address is local” Um what? If i was local I could have just dropped of the laptop myself, haha NOPE, “return” is actually sending the package back to my house. THEY SENT THE WRONG LABEL. So of course another email and another day before they respond with the correct label this time. - A week later they got back to me saying that they tested and never had a blue screen problem. Well shit, at that point I didnt think of recording the crashes so what am I going to say? They then said that they would be sending a preowned replacement laptop. So OK sure, I’ll accept the replacement, I just want a laptop back so I could game. -WELL, I got the laptop and LOW AND BEHOLD, WEAR AND TEAR, my goodness, the W key was a bit worn so someone had been used it a good bit it appears, and the old user seemed to have disliked pristine stickers so there was a half peel sticker BUT the best part, THEY FORGOT TO SEND BACK THE POWER CABLE. Oh man at that point i couldn’t even. -thankfully they sent me power cable immediately -This whole thing took about a month of back and forth email and I got the replacement and power cable at the end of january. -So problem solved right? Did you see the pictures lol, NOPE -so after 10 days of taking pictures I decided to contact Maze tech again this time showing the rep proof, pictures that the laptop does in fact crash. So what can did they tell me? They told me to factory reset my computer. AND it had no effect again. So they asked me to send it in for repairs AGAIN. Right. -I contacted amazon customer support this time asking for a return and refund. Amazon sent a request to the seller to send me a return label -MAZE Tech service rep on that message thread said that “they only accept returns 30 days after delivery” But i can send it back to them for repair. -Very funny, I told them received 2 defective products at this point and to please refund my purchase. -No response after 2 days so I Contacted amazon Again, Amazon sent a request to the seller to send me a return label AGAIN. THis email thread was IGNORED BY MAZE TECH AS OF THE WRITING OF THIS REVIEW - second email thread finally responds and repeat that all they can do is have me send it in for repair and that the order is almost 3 months old. You have got to be freakin kidding me. - I responded with a summary of the entire event of this ordeal above, and gave 4 options1) IF I sent this laptop back, the one that I got as a replacement for the first defective laptop AND the one that came with visible wear and tear, I want a guarantee that it is repaired and sent back with no daily blue screens.2) if that is not possible send a NEW replacement if you send me another there is a chance that since it is an old replacement like this current model i am using that the replacement is just another laptop with the same issue like mine was3) a full refund at which case I will purchase another laptop.alternatively4) If you give me a refund now I will promise to simply buy the exact same laptop from amazon again and go from there -THIS EMAIL HAS BEEN IGNORED BY MAZE TECH AS OF THE WRITING OF THIS REVIEW -Contacted amazon for a THIRD time, this time amazon filed an escalation, and finally this time MAZE TECH FINALLY they sent me a return label. -Asked how long it would take for me to get a refund once i shipped it back and if there would be any restocking fee. Answered that the refund will be sent once they receive the laptop. Great, so probably 2-3 days after I drop it off, Also interestingly did not answer question about the restocking fee. I asked if there will be a restocking fee again and eagerly await their response. - Regardless of if there is or isn’t I will be sending back the laptop in the coming day or two once I remove everything from the laptop. Will Update once I receive my refundThank you maze tech customer support rep for your time I do not blame you for any of this. I am sorry that you are so obviously bound by company policies that, you are unable to solve what I my issue with the product. Though I do understand the 30 day return policy and the whole needing to send in the laptop for examination and replacing it with a used laptop first in order to prevent fraud. I do wonder how hard it would have been once I confirmed that I did really have a defective product to just send me a new one as most of the other review did not seem to have this problem. I would like to belive that I got unlucky twice. As for if you are planning to buy this product, If it blue screens before 30 days DEMAND RETURN IMMEDIATELY.

Still running well after 2.5 years of heavy use
I've been pretty hard on this laptop and it's holding up like a champ.Battery: I had to replace the battery once and the replacement has lost some battery life, which is likely due in part to me leaving it plugged in nearly 24/7.Body: The exterior has held up really well, for the most part, there are a few nicks and scratches on the hard plastic. The only weaknesses I've found are in the thin plastic grate over the speaker(cosmetic damage only) and the RAM cover. I often move my laptop one-handed and over time the thinner plastic bent enough that putting pressure there would cause crashes. I also managed to crack the plastic from the left USB port down to the RAM cover. All of the damage seems to be user error rather than a design flaw.Hardware: The CPU and GPU are still running to specs even after running Cyberpunk 2077(on 720p). I've put this PC through well over 1000 hours of video games. Many of those games would max out the CPU and some even maxed out the GPU at times. I've never tried overclocking. The RAM is still working as expected and didn't seem to take any permanent damage during the crashes I mentioned above. I did add another 8GB and have been very happy with the results.Heat: It's a laptop so any amount of gaming will produce a noticeable increase in heat. I personally use the NitroSense app to keep the fans on max at all times, it is noisier but I've gotten used to it and I don't have to worry about the automatic sensors keeping the CPU from burning out. I also sit with a fan blowing past my legs and the laptop vents, which may have an impact on my hardware surviving as well as it has.Display: The display seems to be as clear and bright as the day I got it, though I can't confirm that without time travel. It hasn't been permanently damaged by any of the bumps the screen has taken. It cleans well with glasses cleaner and a microfiber cloth. The type of display it has can make it difficult to see in the sun even at max brightness but I don't suspect that is an issue most people would face when using a laptop like this. The lowest brightness is very good at limiting eye strain in a dark room.Cosmetic: As I mentioned the hard plastic shell isn't impervious to scratches or gouges. The metal cover behind the display does show any oil smudges from your fingers pretty clearly but can be easily cleaned. The keyboard has the most visible wear and tear. My "S" key is completely illegible due to my fingernail scraping it while gaming. My "D" key is also starting to show wear. And as I've mentioned the thin plastic grate over the speaker has broken on mine.Video & Audio: The microphone, camera, and speaker are mediocre, but they get the job done. I recommend getting a good headset and not worrying about the camera quality. If you want a good value wireless headset I recommend the Razer Barracuda X($80 as of June 2022).

Reliable/Quality/Affordable
I bought this laptop 2 months ago. Wanted to give pc gaming a try. I only play 2 games; Civilization 6 and Destiny 2. I’ve clocked in a total of 160 hours of run time between the two and the rig hasn’t missed a beat. I run both games for drastically long periods of time on high graphics quality. It’s possible due to the cool NitroSense feature that Acer uses. It’s basically a performance tuner, It allows you to calibrate how much attention the cooling system pays towards the CPU and the GPU. You can also tune the laptop’s attention towards 1.) Battery life 2.)Balanced 3) High performance, giving great task flexibility. This application is the selling point for this machine. Along with what was previously stated, the NitroSense application also provides you with proactive performance feedback in graph form; displaying the cpu/gpu usage along with the exact temperature. I really enjoy this rig and it’s brought joy back into gaming for me, hope this helped.

Recommended with upgrades...
I purchased it for video editing, and upgraded the RAM TO 32 GB, also I added an additional SSD drive 256 gb, now the computer starts within seconds,The only down side is the graphic card should have been a better newer model , even though it is not bad all all in terms of performance vs. The price..

Horrible
Pathetic. Battery life is 50% of what they claim. I would not buy this again.

Great for Gaming
So far this computer has met all of my expectations. It is super fast and I can play all of my games on high graphics settings. That includes Rome Total War 2, Company of Heroes 2, Arma 3, Total War Warhammer, etc. The worst thing about this computer is the battery life. Other than that its awesome!
