I bought this to vacuum seal some home made spicy Italian sausage. It did the job very nicely. First, I double-sealed one end of a bag that I had cut from the included quart-sized roll. Then added the already frozen sausage and proceeded to vacuum and seal the top end of the bag. I always double seal each end since it is so easy to do. The built-in roll holder and bag cutter is very convenient.Overall I'm very happy so far with this vacuum sealer. I bought one many years ago for about 3.5 times the price of this one and quit using it because the bags were so expensive and the sealer just didn't work that well. This one has been very simple to operate. Just make sure that you press down on both ends once the bag is positioned. You'll hear a loud click on each end when it's locked in place. After that, just hit the vacuum/seal button and let it do its job.

It just came today but we had a good bit of stuff waiting to put it to the test. We've been using FoodSaver vacs for about 20 years, 3 of them to be exact, but I digress this is a HODAY review. There is a bit of a learning curve for a 20 year FoodSaver user but I caught on quickly and put it through the paces once I got the hang of it. We like the smaller footprint compared to our last food vac at about 1/2 the size. The internal bag storage is nice and the cutter works well but takes some getting used to compared what we're accustomed to. It does a good job sealing and our stock of FoodSaver bags work better with this unit than they did with their namesake's. The price was right plus we took advantage of a $10 off coupon offer. There's a 10 year warranty which is unheard of these days with planned obsolescence already built in to everything. Plus there's none of the disclaimers and requirements to keep the all original packaging and receipt witnessed by 3 different magistrates in at least 4 jurisdictions. The bottom line is, So far it's a keeper.

This is my first vacuum sealer machine. After reading the instructions, it is fairly easy to use. You cut the bag to your desired size, seal one end, put whatever item you have inside, and vacuum & seal the other end. Simple. The unit has a nice look to it as it matches my stainless steal appliances. For my first machine, this is a great product.WHAT I DON’T LIKE:▪️The machine does not suck out all the air and on most occasions, I wished it would remove more air.▪️Inconsistent on its ability to remove air from the bag. Sometimes it removes a lot of air and other times not so much.* Sometimes after few minutes thinking it is ok ....air go back* Left over need to be dry because if some juice still in the food it goes into the machine suction basket

very simple to use, nice suction, it is nice and compact easy to store away when not using it. I like it well worth the money.

I bought this one and another one because the reviews and descriptions were the same. I quickly returned the other one. It didn't work well at all and it was almost as loud as an airplane landing in the kitchen! This one does the job quietly, the bags work well and are reusable. The foodsaver bags are only usable once if that. We often found freezer burn on stuff!! THOSE DAYS ARE GONE.

We purchased this product in January. The unit would not vacuum so I returned it and they sent me another one. The second one works sometimes and sometimes it won’t vacuum at all. I’m very frustrated with this product, I am shopping for another food sealer that works when I need it to. I do NOT recommend this product.

I am very satisfied with my food sealer, it's easy to operate, easy to clean, and the suction works excellent! Very easy to clean. I appreciate the 2 free rolls of bags, I have a feeling I will be ordering a lot of bags. Thank you very much for your prompt action on my warrantee.

I’ve owned this sealer for about five months. It’s been used only about 2-3 times a month. I tried to use it a couple days ago and it no longer seals the bags. So disappointed to throw this out after barely using it. I’ll buy a different brand next time.

I like the size and ease of use. I like how you set the edge to be sealed and not have to waste the plastic. The old machine I am replacing required such a large margin on the sealing edge that I often felt it was a waste of the plastic. And I liked the price.4 stars because the suction is not as powerful as my old machine. It takes longer to remove the air from a a bag being sealed and when using the attachment to vacuum seal jars (using a separately purchased attachment) the seal is not as strong meaning that the vacuum created is not as good and more air is actually left inside the jar. The unit works fine but not quite up to what I was expecting.

This vacuum sealer arrived very quickly. There was a slight problem with the hinge, but the company quickly replaced it without any hassle at all. The unit was well packaged and came with 2 extra rolls of bags. It is so easy to set up and to use. I have used it quite a few times already and love that it seals almost anything in just seconds. I am so happy with this purchase and give it 5 stars.
